I walked out of the in-between and into a forested park. I was wearing my traditional demon outfit with the sarong and sandals. My wings stretched out behind me.
Even though I’d had my demon form back for a couple weeks, I still hadn’t flown. I sniffed the air. This wasn’t close enough.

A corpse which had been slowly coming back from a state of decay, with the help of my blood, over the last couple weeks. It was entirely ready, its wounds healed and flesh unmarred.I felt the spell crawl up my throat. It was a creepy feeling, which I sincerely hoped never to feel again.
