I woke up early, it was still dark outside but the bed beside me was empty. I was startled at first and worried. Did something happen? Why didn’t Samantha wake me up?
Pulling myself out of bed I notice my phone is lit up with an unread text message.
Love: Hey, something came up! Had to check out something last minute. If you get this before I get back come find me! Love you! <3
I furrowed my brow and quickly got up and changed, what could have happened this early in the morning? Tiptoeing out of the packhouse I glanced up, the sun would soon rise, and the early spring animals were starting to wake up. A few pack members were moving around, some heading to the gym while others were yawning and walking towards the main gate to start their shift.
