Chapter 18 Dreams 2

After setting our alarm I settled into bed beside my mate, again she fell asleep on the couch while waiting for me to come out of the shower. No sooner did I turn off the light and she was snuggling into my side, this time hugging my arm close to her chest. I think back on the treatment that the Doctor was mentioning, the one that would help me become resistant to and eventually immune to silver. Goddess! I know I was showing a strong face while we were talking, but my heart was breaking for her... and a little bit for myself, I was not going to be able to show her how much I loved her until I was able to withstand her nails and teeth. Damn. How could a person, let alone a father do that to his daughter? What kind of heartless person would do that?
