Chapter 52 Sitters

“Oh! Can we go?” Nick asked, his eyes hopeful. I sighed inwardly, does this kid know what a date is?

Samantha stopped and thought it over. “Nick, I’ll tell you what, if it is okay with Greg and Jess for Penny to go then you can both come with us. If she can’t, then you stay here, does that sound good?”

Penny and Nick’s faces lit up and they both ran out of the room, laughing and talking away. I sighed inwardly but maybe, just maybe...they will say no? Please Moon Goddess!!!!

After I left the bathroom feeling clean, the pups still weren’t back. I smiled, maybe they changed their mind! Hopes were dashed as they came crashing back into the room, cheering happily. Penny gave Samantha a note and another scrap of paper. I looked over it and pouted. It looked like a homemade voucher. “Daddy said to give you this!” She laughed.
