Chapter 10 Evictions Part 2

*Abby POV*

“Oh, who’s a pretty kitty?” Mariah cooed as she slowly ran a toy across the floor. The cat watched with interest and swatted at it every time it came close. I was looking over some papers and trying to get a sense of what the heck was going on without asking for help from my dad.

Down the hall some of the guards and omegas had already started clearing out the Elder’s suite. Gamma Scott tried to call Veronica but she either ignored his calls or just didn’t have her phone with her. No matter, in an hour all of her things will be boxed up and put in storage.

Then the contractors were coming in. Mom had already given me the carpet and wall colors she wanted, but she had no idea where they were moving, or that they were moving this quickly.

A soft knock on the door resounded before my parents walked in. Dad looked at the cat on the floor a little surprised but didn’t say anything. He knew since I was a small pup that I loved animals, and I used to beg and beg for a pet. But he a
