Chapter 2- Evelyn

Okay! I am freaking out. This guy is weird as hell. I was so engrossed in contemplating my options to either run or stay put that I didn’t see him move.

The next thing I know I am slammed onto the wall behind me with Damien’s nose buried in the crook of my neck and his hands crushing me to his body, his arms wrapped around me tightly. I am sure I will be sporting a bruise on my back from the impact. This damn caveman.

“What the hell? Get off of me.” I shouted after gaining my breath and started struggling out of his grip but to no avail.

Is he sniffing me? Oh my god! That is plain rude. Do I stink? Off course I don’t. I took a shower before coming to college.

I struggled vigorously but he tightened his grip painfully. I whimpered. I heard the others gasp and hurry towards us. Come on get this asshole off of me.

“Stop moving.” Damien said with his lips moving on my neck.

That sent shivers down my spine. His voice is husky and deep. What the hell am I thinking? I should focus on the matter in the hands.

“Alpha you are hurting her.” Caiden said bowing his head.

Who the hell is Alpha? Must be this brute who is trying to squish my organs out of me.

“Yes you dumbass let go of me. You are hurting me.” I yelled but the mountain of a man didn’t budge.

“Alpha.” Caiden said and put his hand on Mr. Grumpy’s shoulder.

Damien turned really fast, still crushing me but with his back and growled at Caiden. I mean a real loud growl like an animal kind of growl. The others backed off, bowing their heads.

Holy shit! What the actual fuck is going on over here? Why are they bowing to this… this person? This whole situation is starting to scare me now. I should probably run but this arrogant person is not budging even a centimetre.

Damien turned to face me. His eyes were black. I mean unusually black. Weren’t they grey a while ago? I think I am in a huge trouble. He tilted his head in confusion and shifted back, not enough for me to escape.

Still it’s a progress. I mean I can actually breathe now without this unknown specimen literally breathing down my neck. I am going to make a mad dash the moment I find a chance.

“Wait you are human.” He said it disappointedly.

What’s he disappointed for? That I am not some extinct species of dinosaur?

“Oh hello there Mr. Frankenstein.” I said sarcastically.

He went confused to angry in a spilt second. Mood swing issues clearly spotted. Self-note, keep your distance from this person.

“How the hell did I have a human for a mate? I mean come on.” He groaned.

More like muttered to himself. Red alert. Talks to himself out of nowhere.

“If you are done with talking to yourself, mind scooting a little? I have important things to do.” I said without showing any fear but inside I am screaming bloody murder.

“You are not going anywhere.” He ordered.

The nerve of this guy.

“Who the hell do you think you are to order me around? Get out of my way.”

His eyes turned blacker than before, if that’s even possible. I would like to have changing eye colour as well. It looks cool but the situation is not so cool at all.

He slammed me again in the wall, his face only inches from mine. I can feel his breath on my lips. I am having a really weird feeling in my stomach. Is that disgust? Nope! Not at all? What is this feeling then?

He is looking straight in my eyes. It’s making me… giddy? What is happening to me? Why am I feeling like this for a complete stranger?

“You will not disrespect me. I am your mate and Alpha. You will follow my orders at any cost and you are coming with me whether you like it or not.”

All the feeling I had a moment ago died right there. This guy is really pissing me off. Follow his orders my foot. Again those words, mate and Alpha. Is anyone going to explain anything to me? Where the hell are others? Why are they not helping me?

“You can shove your orders up your ass for all I care. I don’t want anything to do with you. I don’t even know you for heaven’s sake so back off.” I said anger clearly evident in my voice.

He smirked and all of a sudden tilted my head to the side and bit me where the neck and shoulder meets. I screamed in pain. It hurts like hell. He shut my mouth with the hand he was tilting my head with. Does this guy have some sort of biting fantasy?

It did not hurt like a human bite though. It felt like multiple canines were piercing in my skin. I can feel blood sliding down, but he did not let go. What is he? Some sort of human with a set of canines? If that’s true, I would like to stay away from him but won’t let go. I got to run the moment he lets go. No way in the hell am I dying from rabies.

His other hand is on my waist in a death grip. I felt tears sliding down my cheeks. He licked the wound and stepped back smirking. He looked quite proud of himself. If only I had something to beat the crap out of this guy, he wouldn’t be smiling like a creep.

I touched the wound and winced. My palm had blood on it. I glared at him but on inside I can feel the panic is setting in. The others were looking at me in pity. I am feeling like my energy just got drained. I need to get out of here. He will kill me if I stay and I don’t think anyone is going to help me. But I feel exhausted.

No no no focus Evelyn. You have to get out of this place. I turned towards the door to run but I swayed on the spot because of the movement. What is happening to me? I took a step ahead but swayed again.

Damien started laughing. Adrian came ahead to help me but Damien stopped him. That asshole. I didn’t knew I could hate someone so much on the first meeting.

“If I die here from Rabies, I will haunt your ass for eternity.” I said to Damien as acidly as possible before slumping to the ground as my legs gave up on me.

If I am going to die, I should at least enjoy the ride thoroughly. I just hope he is not a cannibal. I would like it very much if my body is intact. I hope he doesn’t kill me though. I am too young for that.

I saw Damien grinding his teeth and the others laughed. I took a shaky breath in. I am one hundred percent sure I am going to faint. This time Adrian caught me before my head hit the ground.

That’s the last thing I saw before I passed out.
