The ringing of the phone woke Lucifer up. He tossed and rolled on the sofa, keeping the pillow over his ears to muffle the buzzing.

However, it persisted. With an "argghh," he extended his hand to the table and, without opening his eyes, placed the phone on his ear and replied in a drowsy voice.
