Chapter 3

"wren, wake up , you need to eat little thing ." she tried opening her eyes, when she saw him next to her tears rolled down the sides of her face. She tried getting up but it was as if her body was glued to the ground.

She cried silently her face showed how much pain she felt .

" it's okay .. it's okay, you will heal soon . don't cry." , he tried wiping her tears away

She shook like a leaf in fear and pain .

He took her between his strong arms putting her on his lap .. she barely weighed , she was so light for him ..

he called for a soldier to bring him breakfast.. as he came in his eyes fell on his pained Luna then he immediately looked down , he put his king's breakfast in front of him and bowed going out .

Zanthus tried feeding her , but she couldn't .. she couldn't let the monster fees her , she refused .

" don't make me feed you against your will wren you'll regret it ." still she didn't have it

He shook his head , he put pressure on her jaw to make her open her mouth to eat but she whimpered gasping in pain as he put pressure on her bruised face.. making her cry even more .

"GOD .. what shall I do with you ." he roared making her flinch. He put her back to lay back down as he sighed in frustration .

Sam asked for permission to enter and he was given the permission to .

" good morning alpha king . "

Zanthus only nodded

" your majesty you have to eat breakfast ."

" it's not mine it's your Luna's , she's not cooperating at all ." he spoke harshly making her whimper

" can I try , alpha king ." asked Sam earning a positive response .

He walked towards the tray of food sitting down " Luna can I help you eat , aren't you hungry? After the marking you should eat well to handle yourself and the changes in your body . I don't think your grandfather wants you dead .. do you ?"

She looked at him still in pain from all the things the monster did to her .

She tried nodding making Sam smile .

" alpha king can I?" he asked for permission to help her eat and he earned it .

Zanthus didn't want for his little mate to die from starvation.

As Sam started to feed a weak Luna, he talked to her about what the castle looks like , he even told her about his mate , he was a mated wolf that's why Zanthus let him feed his mate .

Wren didn't speak at all she only looked at him to make him feel like she was listening .

She ate until she felt full , " that's it we're done luna. " he cheered making her smile a little .

As Zanthus was looking at her he felt how tense she was but when she smiled his heart sped for a second .

He had to mark her .. it was going to happen either ways , she had to understand that she was his no matter how.

She looked at him as he approached her looking all so royal , "we should head to our destination now ." he ordered

" can you move ?" he asked

She tried to but she struggled to sit up right.. " can .. you .. help me .?" she asked not looking at him , he immediately helped her up hugging her to his chest softly for the first time he played with her beautiful long hair massaging her scalp .

" you can sleep on the way to the castle, you need to restore your energy." She didn't respond only holding his upper over muscled arms for support.

" what's going to happen to me ..there.?" she asked hesitant

" nothing much if you behave yourself . " he spoke carrying her to his horse as they started moving leaving some soldiers behind to take care of the tents .

As she couldn't support her weight she put her head on his chest holding his left biceps to her chest , as sleep stole her from real world .. he hugged her with his left arm to his body to not risk her falling from the horse , he looked down at her smiling at the image , how she's holding his biceps to herself and her head on his chest , he wanted to protect her from everyone and keep her safe confined behind his chambers doors.. the castle was only three hours away now, they would get there before sunset .

She stirred opening her eyes slowly , to see the man who fed her earlier on his horse talking to the monster next to her as they were advancing.

She let go if his biceps, embarrassed at how vulnerable she was . " water , please ." she felt better not all so good but at least better . Sam handed her some water and she thanked him .

She looked up at her mate who looked down at her in response " how are you feeling kitten .?" he asked considered but she ignored him putting her head back on his chest to support herself " what did I say about disrespect and disobedience little thing ?" he warned

" I feel better ." she whispered

" good ." he responded
