JasmineJasmine got home late, around 11pm. The bus night ride was like yesterday, the day before that and the day before that, everyday since her mother died, she never entered the car, it reminded her of her mum the most, it was a birthday gift from her mum, even if it was a hand me down from her own father to her mother then to her. It still felt illegal to ride in it.It carried so much history and memories, like the stains of coffee from the first time she and her mum went to a burger hut. Or the shaky seat belt that made funny noises whenever she tried to use it, or how she and her mum would dance to the old cassette music from the late 90's. It was their own bonding time and she hated how much it hung around her even after her death. She was supposed to move on but no one is teaching her how to.She walked on the stairs slowly, her hair was in a messy bun not the kind that is intentional, her jeans seemed unwashed for months. Her top had stains; coffee stains not from yesterda
“Who are you?” Jasmine asked with fear surging through her. This man before her looked nothing like anything good. If you judged by his multiple tattoos and the soft faraway look on his face, Jasmine felt like taking the easy way out of her apartment. His features looked soft but it was doing more of scaring her than making her actually calm. She didn’t want to die just like her mom.Her carelessness and forgetfulness was the reason her mum and this might be her fate too. Instead of answering her question, he takes time to tear apart the rose flower he was holding. He removed each petals with a soft smile and he hummed to a tune Jasmine has never heard before. The sound was soft and calming, something she hadn’t felt in months.“Call me peace, I bring that to people.” He said softly and she scoffed. If someone covered in tattoos could preach peace, then the men that killed her mom could be mistaken as popes. He didn’t find her scoff amusing so he continued ripping apart the flowers.
"Oh shit." Axel muttered as soon as he looked into her eyes. He saw how dilated her eyes were. In seconds he saw himself. His wings! He gritted his teeth and shook his head, his veins grew and popped out. "What's going on?"The sky turned red immediately. "Shit" He grunted and placed his tongue in his teeth, he held a fist immediately.."Why am I twitching?" He pondered to himself while he ignored Jasmine. He knew his powers were acting up but he didn't know why or what caused it.Axel had never been this dumbfounded, at least not since the first time that he found out about his wings. He finally paid attention to Jasmine. He saw how she staggered and paused. Her words failed her, her mouth moved but not a word came out."Fuck!" He growled.Axel closed his eyes and calmed his nerves. He took his breath slowly, at that moment his wings disappeared. He sighed for relief and looked at Jasmine. Speechless and horrified. Jasmine didn't know how to feel, she had terror written all over her
"Oh my God!" Jasmine shrieked and her phone fell on her face. She didn't feel as she normally would; depressed. She was plain. She closed her eyes immediately and opened them back, stupefied at the man who appeared in front of her. She sighed for relief."Yes, this night can't get crazier, I am definitely still drunk Jasmine!"Jasmine said out loud as she stood up and nodded her head, she had an empty beer in her hand."What are you doing here? Can't you use the door?" Jasmine who was unfazed with him stated as she pointed at the door. She wore a pair of bunny slippers that weren't there before, she looked at the pair oddly. "These weren't here before!" She tilted her head as she wiggled them on her foot."I am definitely drunk." Jasmine said as she sat on her bed, she gulped the empty bottle. She hissed at the fact that not a single drop came out."So, Mr- uh" She stammered as she tried to remember the name of the man in front of her."Hades" Axel replied to her when he read her, he
"You made her forget her memory?" Wesley asked Axel as they walked in hell. He titled his head as though Axel didn't see him. He covered his mouth the moment his jaw dropped."For that night? And it worked? You intentionally wiped moments of the both of you?" Wesley asked again, he didn't understand why his boss did that and more so why it was so casual of him."Why are you surprised?" Axel said in a bland tone as he raked Wesley , he raised the corner of his lips and his eyebrows.."Wow! You are really something." Wesley shook his head in disappointment."What? Some dude showed up and she was drunk. The entire night didn't make sense and you wanted her to blab some nonsense to that dude, I mean it could be quite funny but I had enough drama." Axel added as they entered his office.A strong business man who had his rules and followed them diligently. He hated being teased. Of course he was always strict and busy. He never allowed anyone to see a side that would lead to any form of di
The next morning."Hi, I am Jasmine. Jasmine Waters." She stretched her hands out for a handshake. She had chills when he came in, she stood up from the chair and turned around to see the man she had heard so much about. Jasmine didn’t expect to see such a young man, the stories she heard from her mum? The man she stared at didn't seem young not at all. She raked him and saw how strong he seemed. He had a fierce look on his face, he didn't wear any expression. Jasmine sighed inward with her right hand out."Hi, I am Hades. Nice to meet you." He stood with his arms in his pocket, Jasmine gave a weird smile as her handshake got ignored, she rubbed her hands and forgot about it."I am a very busy man, but I was told you needed to see me with the matter of an urgency and so I am here." He spoke as though he would be charged for the amount of words he said. Jasmine tried to lighten up the mood a bit with a smile but the man in front of her was unmoved. Not a smile he wore. Jasmine wondere
"Why didn't you tell me her mother had worked for me before?" Axel questioned as he walked into his office. He didn't expect to see Jasmine so easily or even the next day, he planned on meeting her again himself, according to his own rules. He had been caught off guard and he didn't like it at all."I didn't know she had worked for you before, the details didn't come up and nothing about her." Wesley explained as he turned around. Wesley closed the door and shook his head in confusion; he didn't see any relation to Jasmine’s Mom as a worker of Axel. "You need to do your job more seriously." Axel didn't joke around when he said that."How did you find out?" Wesley asked as he sat down and looked at Axel. Axel gave him a weird look. Wesley was as confused as the devil. He barely even knew what happened "She came over to the office, she was the human that needed to see me for some urgency, apparently she thinks I can help her in finding the killer of her mum." Axel threw his head bac
Jasmine.Jasmine woke up and rolled over. She called out to Brandon. "Brandon!" "Brandon! Are you here?" She got up from the bed and went to the bathroom, she opened the door and peeked through. She didn't see anyone. She walked to his gaming room and the living room. "Brandon?" She cried out as she stood like a log, she had her hair messed up and scattered, some fell over to her face. She didn't realize she had slept all day. She stretched and yawned like a baby.It was just past three, Jasmine went on to the bathroom to check for any messages. Brandon didn't leave any sticky notes or a message as to where he went. Jasmine decided to take a shower: a short one. She walked out dripping in water. She cleaned herself. She walked around with his towel on her. She smiled and went to the wardrobe. Brandon was a huge fan of big tops and plain shirts, asides being a turn on for Jasmine? They fitted him so easily and so well. She trailed her hand all through the outfits and smiled. She did a
