After the demon guards took Abaddon away, Lola rushed to Lucas and hugged him. But he is angry and bitter. He didn't wrap his arms around her like he used to. Instead, he just stood there with anger radiating from his frame. His fisted hands hanging by his sides.
Lola frowned when he didn't hug her back. He always likes to touch her. He always finds ways to hug her or kiss her. But now he is detached. She cannot feel the same affection from him that she always used to feel.
Lola let her arms drop away from around him and took a step back so that she could look at him properly. When she saw how angry he is, she gasped. She misunderstood that he is angry with Abaddon. So she tried to appease him.
"Now he is arrested. He is no longer a threat. I know what he did is wrong, but he had his own reasons. We will investigate his case thoroughly.." Lucas didn't let her finish.
