Said the man, who was still pointed towards the ground. I gave a swift glance at the interior of the carriage. I was the only one in it. I strained my neck around the massive man, who was still in the low bow. Trying to spot my people.

At once I saw my grandfather standing next to an older man. They were smiling at each other. Both looking supremely satisfied with themselves.

“Lady Seraphina. May I escort you into the pack house?”

I turned my attention to the young man, who had finished his bow and was now looking at me. I felt heat rise up my cheeks as I took in the man that had cut my son out of my body.

The rage in my heart was a very real thing. But I must not react in anger. He would not know what I was talking about. So I took a deep calming breath.

He was very handsome. He was very tall. I could just make out a tribal tattoo under the collar of his white shirt, and his rolled up cuffs. That tattoo was etched into my psyche.

I knew I was staring.

I mean, men were handsome in my realm. But they were not even close to the man now standing with his hand out, ready for me to take his hand. Bile threatened to rise up my throat.

But, needs must.

I smiled shyly, and slipped my hand in to his and I finally let him help me out of the carriage.

There were quite a few people standing all around us. As I stepped out, I heard the collective gasp. Then came the whispered comments I had heard before.

“Wow, she’s stunning.” Said one young wolf.

“She is the most beautiful she-wolf I have ever seen.” Said another.

Similar comments flew around the small group. I held my head high and walked towards my grandfather. Who had held out his hand for me to take it.

I reached for his outstretched hand, and clasped it to me like it was a life line.

Only when I stood next to my grandfather, with his arm around my shoulders, did I start to feel calm. And in control of myself.

The future Alpha who had helped me earlier, also stepped forward.

He stood next to his father. Just as I stood next to Papi.

Remembering we stood on a raised platform. I turned my head one way, then the other. All I could see was werewolves. Some shifted, others standing in just a pair of shorts. I noticed that the women of the pack were either completely shifted or fully dressed. I was glad of it.

My attention was brought back to the werewolves that stood on the platform with us.

“My Pack!” Said the older wolf in a gruff voice.

“Today is a great day for us. Today we have the honour and the privilege to welcome a new member to the pack. Her highness, Seraphina!”

I stepped forward as my name was spoken, I had expected cheers, or applause. But there was only silence.

One by one, the wolves on the lower ground knelt in the dirt with their heads bowed. I didn’t know what to do. I Looked toward my grandfather, trying to catch his eye.

But, grandfather had his eyes closed. I watched as a lone tear fell onto his aged cheek. That puzzled me. This had not happened in my previous life. I remember quite clearly that the Alpha and Papi stood shoulder to shoulder. Neither ready to talk. In my last life it was up to the future Alpha.

Now the Alpha spoke again. His tone was quieter than before. But held reverence in every word.

“Thank you, My Pack. For showing this wonderful creature the respect she is due. Wolf kind has waited many many years for her supreme highness to be returned to us. I am, as I know you all are, honoured that she chose our pack, The Moonlit Shrine pack, above all others, to return to us. Your highness, Seraphina will you say a few words to the pack you have chosen?”

I just stared at him.

This was not my memory of that first meeting.

My head turned this way and that as I looked to my grandfather and the Alpha. I turned again, to face the sea of expectant wolves looking at me. I was frozen. Why had he used the words Supreme Highness? And wonderful creature? They swam around my mind. I looked again at my grandfather.

Was it me, or did he look away from me with guilt in his eyes.

No. This would not do.

Seeing my frozen stance and misunderstanding my hesitation for shyness the future Alpha stepped forward.

“If I may be so bold, I believe her highness is overwhelmed at this moment in time. So, I beseech you, my Pack mates. To allow her highness to settle in to her new quarters. I am confident you will see her again very soon. As tonight we host a banquet in her honour”.

I waited for the question I knew was coming. I had heard it before. Hearing him ask for the pleasure of my company for the banquet, I could only nod my head once and murmur a ‘thank you’ in a small voice.

This was how my previous life was going to play out. Last time my heart had fluttered when his attention was on me. Now? It only made my stomach churn.

Again, I had to fight the bile rising in my throat.

Within a few seconds the crowd of onlookers dispersed, leaving the Alpha, his son, Papi and me.

This time I stepped towards my grandfather, and clung to his arm. He was not getting away from me until I had some answers.

The shame of the rumors kept me in my chambers. Until the evening of my twenty-first birthday. As soon as I came of age. The mating ceremony between Joseph and I was set in motion. As I had to act like a she-wolf back then, I had struggled at the beginning to assimilate. Not this time. No.“Your dancing is quite impressive, your highness.” He said begrudgingly. My face was turned away from his, so he did not see my smile of satisfaction.I finally turned to face him, our lips mere centimetres apart. I made a show of looking at his lips, then into his eyes. I licked my lips, and was delighted when his eyes tracked the movement.Almost at once, I could see desire cloud his eyes. Desire was never a problem for us. He had always wanted me that way. I was just too naïve to understand that having me, didn’t mean he wouldn’t have Victoria too.I came to understand why. It was all so he could get his heir. So he could steal the baby, and leave me dying in a pool of my own blood.I shook of

I could see the Alpha mind-link with someone. Soon after I noticed a tall well built man, easing his way onto the Dias. I knew him from my past life, this man was Beta to the current Alpha. His name was Dax, and I liked him immensely. The first few days of my past life, I found myself to be quite lonely. I hadn’t met Jessi yet. And was also told not to leave the pack house. So I never had the chance to visit with pack members, or make friends.Dax took it upon himself to show me around the sprawling pack house. He was pleasant. He even introduced me to his mate. Her name was Zoe. She was just as lovely as her mate. Unfortunately, due to the large number of cubs they had, Zoe was always busy at home with them. And I only saw her a handful of times more.I saw Dax whisper something to the Alpha, and watched as the latter clenched his fist. Just loud enough for me to hear, the Alpha ordered Victoria be sent to his office.I could also hear his voice lower when he asked where his son w

Shortly after Alpha Silas had explained the plan to us, Joseph arrived. Looking rather red in the face. His collar askew, a smear of makeup could also be clearly seen on his neck.I watched as the Alpha, who was clearly mind-linking with his son, scolded his behaviour. In my past life, when this had happened I had been visibly upset. Which made Joseph grin with smugness. Seeing my jealousy. This time however, I smiled serenely at the Alpha and his family. I wasn’t sure, but I thought I caught a small flicker of shock in Josephs eyes.*Good* I thought to myself. Not long after the Alpha and his family walked through the double doors, I spotted Victoria slink around the corner and attempt to sneak into the banquet. No doubt hoping to avoid the Alpha and Luna.My Grandfather also saw this. Just as Victoria tried to straighten her clothes, into some semblance of dignity, my Grandfather called out to her. Victoria froze. Like a deer in headlights. Her eyes darted here and there, probabl

“Of course.” I told her. Then settled myself on the bed. I gestured for her to continue speaking. “Your grace. I don’t know anything about dressing a lady. I work in the kitchens. Miss Victoria came to the kitchen late this afternoon. She pointed at me, then told me to report here to you. That’s why I am in your room, your grace. Nothing more than wanting to know if you require anything from the kitchen.” She finished speaking, and my internal smile got a little bit wider. I understood what was going on here. Victoria sent someone to my rooms in the hope I will look disastrous at the banquet this evening. I rolled my eyes, shaking my head. “Chloe. I believe that Miss Victoria chose you to humiliate me.” The poor girl looked like a deer in headlights. I saw her lower lip tremble. But she did not cry. Good. I needed someone strong. “Chloe. How would you like to become my personal handmaiden. I will show you the ropes myself. You will help me dress for this evenings event. Is that

The kiss was punishing. I was trying to deepen the kiss when I felt a sharp pain on my lower lip. I pulled back from her, and touched my fingers to my mouth, when I pulled them back I could see blood on them. “You bitch.” I rasped out. “Oh. You are going to pay for that.” She smiled seductively at me, and bit down softly on her bottom lip. That’s all it took. I released Victoria’s hands so I could lift her until her long legs wrapped around my waste. She could feel my erection, and started gyrating against me. “Is the big bad wolf, angry? Are you going to punish me?” The words left her mouth. Every word dripped with sexual tension. I reached between us and ripped her panties off, Victoria worked on my belt and zipper. I finally felt my cock land in her hand. She gave it a tight squeeze. “That won’t do, little wolf.” I rasped back to her. I lifted her up, then brought her down onto my aching cock. Victoria scream my name. I pumped into her, my movements almost frenzied. It didn’

  • The Elemental Wolf awakens   Chapter 7

Looking at my grandfather, I realised he knew who this girl was and what she had done. Though it was the massive blood loss that killed me in the end. I could still hear the foul words spoken. I could still feel the long silver knife pressed against my swollen stomach. I gave a small shudder, trying to push those thoughts out of my mind. If I had to re-enact everything, I was going to have to push my anger deep down. For now. The young heir spoke with the authority granted by his position in the pack. “I’m so sorry for the insolence shown by Victoria. I will make sure it never happens again. She will receive a punishment for this. I will personally see to it.” At his words, he grabbed hold of Victoria’s upper arm, and dragged her out of the room. A few whispers followed behind them. I could hear a few, and smiled wider this time. Knowing what I know? The whispers made sense. Apparently, most of the staff in the pack house knew about Joseph and Victoria. It was the hot gossip arou
