Chapter 12: The Sad Mother
Dwight took another glass of wolf’s venom and his friends watched with keen interest. Among them all, Ryder was the one known to drink a lot of alcohol but right now, it seems they got themselves a new champion when it comes to drinking.
He was about to fill his cup again when Ryder held his hand. He was already looking tipsy.
“That’s enough”, Ryder said. “You might kill yourself.”
Dwight chuckled and gulped. “That would be better. Better than living like this.”
Maxwell sighed and packed the table. Getting rid of the drink and glasses. “You are drunk”, he said and turned to leave with the tray but Dwight held him.
He had tears in his eyes as he talked. “Please. Let me drink some more.” Gulp. “That’s the only solution to my problems.” Another gulp. “That’s the only thing that understand what I am going through.” Gulp again.
