Erica is missing

She gawked in awe, like is this really happening now?

Erica swallowed heavily “Aurelio… is this.. this..” she stuttered struggling with the words out of her mouth.

“I am not asking if you will marry me, I am asking you to” he replied and slowly a side smile appeared on her face.

“I See you’re really possessive” she replied raising a brow at him.

“As long as you are involved, no why shouldn’t I be.. Erica, you made me feel like again, yes all I wanted was just to get a lady pregnant so I can get what I want.. but honestly, after that night at the hotel.. I really found a reason to have a partner” he said to her

“I feel alive now, a lot better than I used to be and it’s all thanks to you, that I smile alone. I don’t want to lose you.. even though I can’t predict the future so I’ll just hold on to you like I’ll never let go” Aurelio added with all sincerity

“I.. I…” Erica stuttered

“Looking back at my life, you’re the only good I’ve ever got and done, I am more than glad you’re the mother of my kids. Do you think I will just want you to give me a child? I want something more… and it’s to have you as my other half, my better half. Good enough that half of me is growing inside of you”

Erica was just speechless. How would she express the way she’s feeling?

That someone could finally feel this way about her.

“ I knew you were scared to hear the family I come from, We don’t kill okay? But for you.. I swear I’ll do the worst. I don’t care who the f*ck it might be, even though I am not perfect, I want to be your perfect man Erica” Aurelio added

“You are already..” Erica replied immediately. She was already teary and sniffed in immediately.

“Erica James, marry me” Aurelio said to her again

She looked down at the ring.

Why wouldn’t she..

“Putting my finger into that ring is a yes, stepping out of my family name into his, after all they rejected me and abandoned me but this family makes me feel loved. Why won’t I say yes to him?” she thought

“Why will I say no? you made me feel life again, I don’t regret that night at all” Erica replied as she wiped her tears on her right cheek with her thumb and stretched out her fingers at him.

“I know your family will one day see you and regret all what they did to you, I’m proud to have you” Aurelio replied as he took her hands in and slowly slid the ring into her ring finger

“Why that finger?”

“Because the vein that leads to the heart is on your fourth finger… so it’s a vein of love” he replied

“Oh..” she mouthed

“You never knew… I know right” he chuckled and then he took out the ring for himself about to wear it on by himself but Erica stopped him immediately.

She took it in with a smile “I’ll wear it for you” she smiled and took his left hand in as she slid it in.

He looked up at her with a smile “How lucky I am…like damn”

He was already smiling seeing her smile alone.

“The best part of me is you honey” Aurelio said as soon as she was done and then she stood up with Erica.

“Lately everything is making sense too, I’m so in love with you” Aurelio smiled

“I can see that” Erica giggled as she crossed her hands around his neck

He pulled her to himself immediately and kisses her neck while she giggled lowly “I love you honey” he said to her ears and wrapped her more tightly to himself.

“you know what I want to do right now?” he asked her as he pulled away and looked straight into her eyes

“What’s that?” she smiled and then he kissed her lips.

Erica pulled away immediately glaring at him “Don’t tease me again, I will not let you get away with it hmm?” she replied sternly to him.

He nodded his head after laughing and kissed her again “No teasing” he said between her lips as he sucked from her lower lips and then made a slowly movement to the bed.

..The Next Day..

Erica woke up feeling so good, a smile plastered on her face immediately she remembered what happened last night.

She was cuddled like a Teddy bear and it felt so good.

Aurelio didn’t let go of her a bit,he kept kissing her neck, her cheek and everywhere he could see.

She released a heavy sigh as she turned to her back but could not see Aurelio.

“Aurelio?” she called out as she sat up yawning tiredly.

There was no response “Did I wake up on an empty bed?” she asked herself as she got off the bed to check the bathroom but he wasn’t there.

Erica returned to the bed totally confused but then she saw a note on the nightstand beside the bed and then she took it to read.

“Good morning honey, sorry I had to leave.. you seemed to be enjoying your sleep so I didn’t want to wake up, even after I gave you a peck on your forehead you didn’t move a bit! I knew already you were enjoying sleeping. I’m sorry I left the bed empty.. I was called in the organization, my grandpa has something to tell me. Rowan will take you home, you should rest.. I’ll be going to the company after meeting with my grandpa but I’ll make sure I come back home early. Take care honey and don’t miss me too much.

She laughed lowly immediately and kept the note in her purse.

“I really need to go home..I know” she yawned and went to the bathroom to wash her face and her mouth.

As soon as she was done, Erica stepped out of the room and met some of Aurelio’s men waiting for her.

“Good morning ma’am, Mr Aurelio asked me to watch over you, the car is waiting downstairs so let’s go since you’re ready” one of them said to her

“Oh sure..” she replied and made her way down the hallway and stared at the ring in her finger.

“How beautiful..” she thought.

Just as Aurelio had said, Rowan was waiting for her by the car.

He bowed immediately seeing her while she waved at him “Hey…good morning” she smiled and went into the car herself without waiting for any guard to open the doors for her.

“Good morning ma’am” Rowan replied

“I hope you’re good” she replied as she released a tired sigh

“yeah I am, you don’t look good” Rowan replied and drove away

“Nah..I am, thank you..”

“we are heading home now, you will have a long rest ma’am” he replied her

“ Oh..sure thank you” she replied and rested her head back

About few minutes later, she had asked them to stop by a store so she could get something.

The hotel she works at before wasn’t far from the store but she didn’t go in.

Eric’s went into the store while Rowan waited in the car since she said she won’t take too long.

Behind the vehicle was another black flying spur vehicle waiting for her, the rest of the men were in that car waiting.

Rowan sat in patiently waiting for her but then minutes because longer minutes, he hasn’t seen her.

He looked out of the window to see for himself but still no traces of her.

Immediately he stepped out of the car and informed the other men to go check on her.

“Check on her, she’s really taking time..lemme know what’s wrong” he said to the and they left while he waited.

And again, they took time.

Spent over 20 minutes before they ran back outside “what is the problem? Why are you panting?” he asked them worriedly as he stepped in further

“We can’t find Mrs Aurelio around sir” one of them said

Aurelio had just left his father and his grandpa, he was currently heading to see his grandpa men that are now his men in the mechanical room..

“that ring in your finger..is it what I’m thinking?” his father asked him

Just when he was about to reply, he got a phone call.

“Please hold on Father..” he said with a slight bow and took his phone out to see Rowan was calling and at the same time, a phone call came in through his father’s phone.

He walked away to answer the call “Rowan..” he said immediately

“Why is Aryan’s father calling me now?” Mr Bertram rolled his eyes

Aurelio looked away from them and turned his attention back to his phone call.

“Sir, Your fiancée.. Miss Erica is missing” Rowan replied already trembling

“You did what?!” Mr Bertram exclaimed.
