Erica stood with her eyes wide open, Ronald blinked rapidly at her and slowly his jaw dropped. 

Aurelio raised his brows at Ronald and turned to Erica.

She scoffed immediately and rolled her tongue in her mouth.

"Look who's here" she laughed lowly and walked to Aurelio slowly.

"Honey who is he?" Aurelio asked her.

She clicked her tongue still looking at Ronald.

This guy..

why does he have to be here?

She was happy he was present, at least he would be the first to see the new her 

"What are you doing here?" he asked her like she should not be here.

"I am to ask you that question Ronald Don!" she fired up immediately

" You should not be here, I don't know how you got here Erica, maybe this is what you've turned to be.." Ronald replied

"Honey... do you know him?" Aurelio asked her already getting mad

"Because it is clear you do and probably had an issue" he replied

" If he was someone that ever hurt you, tell me...I won't give him this job" Aurelio replied with a cold glare at Ronald.

Fear took over Ronald whole system immediately.

How would he lose a job like this?

 Erica looked at him straight into his eyes, she could tell he was already pleading. little by little she remembered their past,

Remembered when Ronald had called her unfruitful,

 "I regret having you as a girlfriend, you can't even take care of your family and not even yourself" his words echoed in her head

"You think becoming an illiterate will take you anywhere? you can't find anything good to do with your life again!"

"Who would look at you and want you? you disgusting!"

"We are breaking up!" that last word was so loud in her head that she inhaled deeply and turned to Aurelio giving him a side smile.

"No I don't know him" she replied and heard him sigh from behind.

Aurelio slowly smiled and cupped her cheek in his hands.

Erica licked her lower lips and moved her hands on his chest to his collar,

"I already forgot him from that day you asked me to drop him" she replied and looked up to Aurelio's eyes.

"Sir, she doesn't know me..I don't know her either.. it's just a misunderstanding" Ronald said immediately and Erica laughed 

"You'll never change Ronald" she said softly

Aurelio had a blank look on his face immediately "I see he was the ex that treated you that bad" Aurelio replied and turned to Ronald with a cold look .

"What ex?" Ronald faked an act

"You are not even good at acting and pretense, I already let go of my past and you are part of it. honey.. this guy isn't worthy to be trusted" she replied feeling the pain she had felt years back because of Ronald.

He let his head low and groaned lowly

"What are you even saying Erica?" he scoffed but she ignored and kept on talking

"He wants things to always be done in his own way"

"I have seen a lot about him, he isn't fit for this company... but if you want to give him a position honey, I hope you don't regret" she replied and Ronald glared at her

"What is it? what's your problem, sir you should not listen to her.. she isn't someone you should be with, she isn't a responsible one" Ronald replied

"I have no idea of how you made your way in here, your mom and dad are here in Los Angeles and they will know about you. I am sure you slept your way in and now you are his mistress" Ronald replied and Aurelio turned to him with a death glare

Erica walked to him and grabbed his collar immediately gritting her teeth "Listen to me Ronald Don! I am not the same Erica James you knew and trampled upon, in case if you don't know, it's a new me" she glared at him

"Being the CEOs mistress?" he scoffed and immediately she sent her palms to his left cheek out of hurt

"How dare you!" she gnarled and Aurelio went to her to pull her back

"Leave him to me Honey" he said to her immediately

Ronald was confused "With all been said..." Aurelio sighed as he walked to Ronald and leaned forward to him.

"And seen.... you don't deserve this position" Aurelio said straight to his face

"Sir but why? will you listen to her??" Ronald asked immediately with a pleading look

"You lied you never knew her! I can't have a liar as my employee and on top of that, you spoke in such a disgusting and unforgivable manner to my wife!!! " Aurelio yelled out of anger and Ronald eyes went wide open

"Your wife??" he asked clearly shocked. Just then he looked at Erica's finger and saw a ring around her slim and beautiful ring finger, and on Aurelio's finger was another Ring matching hers.

"I-i-you-Erica-its..."

"Just stop stammering and leave my office before I sue you!" Aurelio yelled angrily at him

"I don't want to see you around my company or anywhere around her" Aurelio said sternly to his face and without hesitation, Ronald fell on his knees to plead.

"No, no sir please don't do that" Ronald said in a rush

"There is nothing you will say that I will listen to Young Man, leave this moment!" Aurelio glared at him with a death look but Ronald grabbed his leg pleading

"No, please I need this job, even if it's two months alone sir" he pleaded and began to cry

"I am not the one you're to talk to, talk to my wife" he replied him with a shrug.

Ronald pulled away immediately shakily and looked up at Erica

"Don't touch me!" she said to him immediately as she raised her hands at him to stop him

"Erica.. please.. please" he stammered

"It's left to her to forgive you... but even if she does, I won't forgive you" Aurelio replied and walked to his table to pick up the telephone

"Will you leave yourself or I call the securities?" he asked him.

Ronald blinked his eyes rapidly as he struggled for words.

Before Aurelio spoke up again, he scrambled up on his feet immediately and bowed his head.

"I will come back sir" he said

"Don't, because no one will allow you in this company until I say so" Aurelio replied.

Slowly, Ronald raised up his head and looked at Aurelio but Aurelio said nothing but to point at the door.

"Use the door" he replied

Ronald took one last look at Erica before he left the office murmuring words lowly.

 "What mess have I gotten myself into now?" he muttered and left the office heartbroken.

Erica released a heavy sigh as she grabbed her chest, Aurelio caught her immediately before she fell and she rested her head on his chest.

"Hey baby cool down" he whispered to her ears softly as he rubbed his hands on her back slowly.

  Meanwhile, somewhere in Los Angeles.

Mr James and his family had moved into their new house here in Los Angeles

Jemma, his first daughter had just left the kitchen with a bowl of popcorn in her hand,

She was slowly eating from her bowl and walked to the living room to sit next to her dad.

Her mom on the other hand was seated by the other couch with a bottle of drink next to her while her dad had just changed the TV channel to another channel that seemed to be talking about what's trending.

"BerCam Paragon groups hands over to their first and only son" Jemma read the headlines and shrugged

"BerCam Paragon groups is one of the most prosperous company world wide, that's to say Mr Bertram the ex CEO was multinational CEO" her father explained

"Yeah yeah, you know them all.. when will you become one?" she scoffed jokingly

"I should ask you" he replied her immediately

"What do you mean? I am at home because you don't have the money for me to keep on going, that's it..I need to resume lectures by next week dad, home is killing and boring" she said with a long face.

Mr James sighed lowly "You know there is no job yet, don't pressurize me please..I will work for the money but still you can get something to do..per time job, just like your sister Erica does" he shrugged and Jemma spat out immediately

"Never will I, since when did you start referring to her as my sister dad? because you don't have money now huh?" she clicked her tongue

"Just don't start this James, not with my daughter and besides, BerCam Paragon groups has branches everywhere..you should apply for a job don't you think? they pay hugely..even the cleaner earns over $1000 in a month" she clicked her tongue and heard her husband scoff

"What are you trying to say?" he asked her

"Anything dad, by the way..I think Ronald went to apply for a job there, he mentioned something like that to me last week" Jemma shrugged

"Mr Aurelio Bertram, the only son of Mr Bertram and his wife has announced he has a fiancée" the female reporter said and everyone turned their attention to the TV.

"Everyone in this country and outside this country knows how much this family is respected, and it is of great news that Mr Aurelio has finally make known to us that he has a fiancée" another female reporter said and everyone in the living room could see his handsome face on the screen.

He had a beautiful smile on his face as he exchanged greetings with everyone that came his way.

"Wow..when I'm studying so hard to be his partner, he had already gotten one" Jemma sighed

"I wonder who is his fiancée" her Mom replied

"What do you think? one lady that swims in billions and trillions of dollars, why would he want to marry a poor lady" Jemma laughed

"Meet my fiancée, Erica James" they all heard him say from the TV and immediately they turned back to the TV wide eyed

"Erica James???" Mrs James exclaimed immediately as she sat up

"Is it the Erica I know?" Jemma added

"My own Erica James?" her father asked no one in particular but turned to the TV to see Erica in a long red expensive dress standing next to Aurelio with a smile

"It's my Erica!!" Mr and Mrs James exclaimed immediately

"It was seen and proven that Mr Aurelio is deeply in love with his fiancée, see photos of their lovely moment" the female reporter said and one by one pictures of the both of them were displayed on the screen.

Photos of when he was kissing her, When he carried her up to the room, when he pinned her down and even short videos of when he called her sweet names.

"Every lady is beginning to desire men like him" she added and Jemma bowl of popcorn fell down her hands out of shock.

"Erica? my sister? the fiancée of a multi billionaire??" she gasped

"This is a good news!! darling let's call her!!" her mom said immediately and Jemma scoffed.

" Call??" she asked her mom with a scoff as she rolled her eyes and folded her arms

"Are you sure she will even have your contact?? when last did you hear from her?? well I will not be surprised is she asks you please who is this!!?" Jemma yelled out

" What are you trying to say? that Erica will forget us?? we are her parents!" her mom replied immediately with a tone of finality and then she picked up her phone.

"In case you don't remember, you saved her number with good for nothing..so just search it" she said to her Mom.

Mrs James didn't hesitate to search and she did saw it 

"Well, I am her father..she has to hear from me. Why would she get engaged without letting me know?" he laughed

" Don't even talk about that now! you should say..she is getting married to the world wealthiest man, Aurelio Bertram, the new CEO of BerCam Paragon groups..don't you understand? out gain from her wedding him is so huge, think of the bride price! damn I am rich! baby you will go to school" Mrs James said to her daughter and husband.

"well that's all true though, mom you are right! she really did bad..let's call her and ask of her.."

" She must be living in a very huge mansion!" she replied

"How did Erica even get to know him?? his parents seem to even love her..take a look yourself" Mr James said to his family gesturing them to look at the TV and they did.

Everyone of them saw Mr and Mrs Bertram with Aurelio's grandpa smiling with Erica.

" Damn! what the actual f*ck!!" Jemma yelled out of shock as she covered her mouth

" mom! dad! we are Rich!!!" she yelled out of surprise.

Mrs James already dialed Erica's number and after few rings, she answered the call.

They were all surprised she answered her phone call because they never expected her to answer the call.

"Erica??" Her mom asked to confirm if it was Erica

"Yeah..." Erica replied

"Oh my baby! how are you?? can I see you?? I've missed you so much baby!!" her mom faked a cry

"Oh..." Erica casually replied

"I'm in Los Angeles now, you?" she asked Erica

"Yes I am...how about I text you..we can meet" she replied her mom and everyone of them in the living room could hear and smiled.

"Okay dear, we will all be coming to see you." her mom replied and Erica ended the call.

 Meanwhile, in the company.

Erica wasn't just surprised they called, she found it funny they did.

"Your mom?" Aurelio asked her

"Yeah, and I think she wants to come with her husband and her daughter" she replied and Aurelio gave a side smile.

"I see they've already heard of you, how about we go home and wait for them..I want them to not just be surprised..I want them to pass out" Aurelio smiled
