Lara's POV

Nanggagalaiti kong hinablot pabalik ang kamay kong hawak niya at natigilan naman siya sa paghila sa akin para lingunin ang gawi ko. "Who the f*** do you think you are?!"

People continued to flock towards the sanctuary as we stood on the far side of the pathway.

"Who gave you the permission to touch! Me!" malakas na sigaw ko sa mukha niya.

"Whoa, whoa!" anito at itinaas ang kamay niya bilang pa-gsurender. "Chill! I saw you stranded there and I kept calling your name, but you couldn’t hear—"

"To hell with that!”

Galit kong inilabas ang cellphone mula sa bag ko nang maramdaman ang vibration nito. I looked at Kuya Arnel’s caller ID on my screen.

Kunot-noo ko itong itinaas at marahas na itinapat kay Lucas ang phone. "See?! He’s probably called the whole security team by now!"

I was taken aback when he swiftly took my phone from my hand and turned away from me to answer it. "Hoy, sinong nag—" Sinubukan kong abutin ang phone ko pero masyado siyang matayog. "Give it back!"
