A sad smile found it’s way towards my lips as my father’s driver exited Cyrus’s house. I had already contacted my lawyer and told her about how I wanted her to change my will.

It was stupid of me to leave all my wealth to my husband in the first place.

After realizing I couldn’t sleep I spent the entire night packing my luggage and by 5:00am I called my father’s driver to pick me up.

I thought the driver would actually complain or something as I hadn’t informed him that he would be picking me up but he didn’t say a word.

I left a note explaining to my husband that I couldn’t continue with this marriage and I would be sending him the divorce letters soon.

It would be better to die happy and single than to die before my time just because the man I loved wanted to kill me for his lover.

The maids had seen me carrying my luggage but they ignored me as always, I wasn’t suprised though.

The maids treated me like I was a charity case.

“Where to madam,” the driver asked, “should I take you home,”

I sighed, my parents had no idea what was happening. It wasn’t like my parents wouldn’t support me but it was better if I went to my cousins place first, after all she offered for me to stay at her place before going home.

“Take me to my lawyer’s place then after that, me to Olivia’s place,” I replied with a small smile on my face.

“Okay ma’am”

“Oh my God, you look so thin,” Olivia stated the moment she saw me. She rushed towrds me and hugged me so tight that I could barely breathe.

“Can’t…breathe,”

“Oh sorry,” she replied then instantly released me from the hug.

“How have you been Olivia,” I asked as I stared at her. She whipped her russet colored hair ethussitivally.

“I should be asking you that, your husband is an asshole,” Olivia said with a huff, “he should be thankful my fiancée traveled to Thailand for a business trip if not he would be dead,”

I smiled, if anyone heard our discussion they thought she was just joking but only both of us knew she was serious.

Her fiancée was really capable of ending my husband’s life if she ordered him to.

“Let’s discuss inside,” I simply said. She nodded then helped me to bring my luggage inside her mansion.

After we settled down, she brought me a fruit juice.

“Have you told your parents yet,” she asked as she sat down beside me.

I shook my head, “not yet,”

“You really should tell them, they would support whatever you say unlike mine,” she stated with a frown.

I stared at her for a moment. I knew her story, before meeting her current fiancée she had one asshole of a fiancée who impregnated her half sister.

Her father supported her ex-fiancée, I could relate to her since her ex fiancée technically kidnapped her various times. Thankfully her current fiancée put them in their place.

“I already changed my will, even if I die, he wouldn’t be getting a dime,” I replied with a sad smile.

Olivia took my hands in hers then stared at me seriously, “don’t jinx yourself, you are going to live long, Tommorow I’ll take you to a very good hospital, i asked around and turns out there’s an available heart donor,”

I smiled, i didn’t get try to get my hopes high though. Even though my father was ultra rich, we were still not able to get an heart donor.

I had already accepted my fate that I might simply not live long.

As of sensing my thoughts Olivia frowned, “you really should think positively and not think about that asshole.”

“Well I’m suffering from heartbreak, it’s not easily parting from someone you’ve loved all your life,” I replied.

She nodded, “I understand, I would have suggested having a one night stand to heal but I doubt you would listen to me,”

I playfully glared at my cousin, “not everyone will accidentally meet the love of their life through a one night stand like you and don’t forget, I’m still married,”

Olivia sneered, “I can’t believe you are loyal to the man who wants to kill you,”

“I’m not loyal, I’m just trying to stay healthy,”

“Why do I feel like you are indirectly bashing me,” Olivia said, she stared at me with narrowed eyes.

I laughed, “you really should quit thinking too much, ima not bashing you, if I we were just engaged and I was healthy I would probably have a one night stand and don’t forget, I don’t have the stamina for those types of activities,”

Olivia nodded, “that’s true, I forgot you can’t do those type of things,”

I laughed, “ probably in my next life, I would be reborn as a healthy woman who loves to party all day,”

Olivia looked at me with an emotion I couldn’t identify, “You might have given up living a long life but I sincerely hope you do, I hope you find someone who love you unconditionally, I hope you live your life to the fullest Giselle,”

A tear threatened to escape from my eyes, it had been long since someone had said those kind words to me.

I wanted to give a full speech about how thankful I was but at the end, all I could do was say we’re six words.

“Thank you for your kind words,”

“You are welcome darling,” she responded.

Olivia and I discussed about a lot of things before I decided to go to the room she had arranged for me to rest.

The funny thing was, the entire day, he didn’t phone me once. If it was in the past, I might have probably cried but this time I felt nothing.

There was no way I would cry over a man who was plotting to kill me
