Chapter 40 Veela State

Edith saw the woman smiling warmly as she looked at her. Edith felt the gentle touch of the woman's hand. Edith did not smile back but shed tears as she looked her.

"Mommy, I remember everything!"

"Oh, my little girl. I'm sorry dear!"

Jovanka took Edith into her arms. She had wanted to meet her little daughter for so long and only now was her wish realised. When Edith was unconscious and almost lost her life.

"I'm sorry that I have to leave you when you were so little. But you don't have to worry anymore dear, you can always bring me a visit," she added.

"Why does my life have to be like this, mommy? Why do they all want me? What did we do to them?" asked Edith as she sobbed with tears already running down her cheeks.

"Hush, don't say it like that. Edith, every creature that lives in this world must have its own destiny and purpose in life. Destiny is never wrong and neither is the person who determines that destiny. Maybe you've met your grandmother. Your presence in this world
