Mira’s POV

After a while, I calmed down and accepted my fate as it was. Raina was still bothered about me, asking why I was on the verge of losing it.

“Mira, I need you to tell me what's going on before I go crazy with you.” She said, brushing my hair gently.

“It doesn't matter.” I whispered, shrugging. “You were right though.”

“Okay, now I'm more confused. What's going on?” She asked, slapping my shoulder gently.

“You were right about Alpha Sorren. I'm just an omega and I should act like it so I won't lose my space here.”

“Hey hey hey, relax, okay?” Raina left my embrace to look at me. “I'm pretty sure I didn't say all that. I just want you to be careful.”

“Yeah. It all points to the same thing I said.” I shrugged.

“You really have to tell me what happened.” She muttered, and I shrugged.

I'd have given in if someone didn't knock on the door.

“Leave!” Raina snapped.

“Who's there?” I asked.

“Elphinstone.” She called her surname.

“What's it?” I asked.

“It's your turn to clean Be

Mira's POV “My guess is… Harrison made it happen somehow so I wouldn't become Alpha.” Alpha Sorren shrugged. There was no more sadness on his face. He was a little bit indifferent, although it broke my heart that he ever liked someone that much. “And unluckily for him, my parents died the next week… dark, right?”“I'm so sorry.” I whispered, standing from the table I had leaned on. “That must have been terrible.” “It was.” Alpha Sorren shrugged. “But you have Lady Selina now, yeah?” I mumbled, unsure why I did that. “Do you still like Luna Nia?”“I don't.” He responded, resting his back on the door. “Sometimes, hate is a stronger emotion than love.”“Why would you have sex with someone you ‘hate'?” I asked, air quoting the word. “Because she appealed to me. I don't think I can explain it to make you understand.” He muttered, and I turned my back, feeling very jealous. “Why are you so mad about it?” He suddenly asked. My eyes widened, and I turned back to refute it, but the words

Sorren’s POV Four Years Ago…I pulled Nia closer to me on the bed. I hated that she was far away from me even if it was by a few inches. I kissed her neck, but she was very unresponsive.“Would you tell me what's wrong, or will you just keep pushing me away?” I asked, raising my head a little. “You've been out of here since last night, and I can't even tell what's going on.”Nia rolled over uncomfortably just so she could look at me. She held my face, but there was still a glint of sadness in them. “You made me come more than 5 times last night.” She giggled, and light returned back to her face. “I really just want to catch my breath.” “Have you breathed well enough now?” I asked with a smirk on my face. She pulled me in for a hug and kissed my ear. “You know I love you more than anything, right?” She asked , and I nodded, pulling her body close to me. The only thing that separated us was the very light night gown she wore that I wanted to tear apart. “I know you do, and I love y

Mira’s POV I ran to my room immediately I walked out of the kitchen. I had anticipated seeing him when everyone else walked in, but I had my hopes dashed, and out of nowhere, he just walked into the kitchen looking like that? The past two weeks were horrible. I had blacked out more times than I had in a whole month. I kept waking up to a splitting headache, and I felt like I was dying. But, according to Raina, my skin was popping, and my features were getting visible. The only thing that kept me going was drawing, and the several thoughts of showing Alpha Sorren. I kept having unusual thoughts about the things that'd happen, and ignoring them was very difficult. Raina knocked on my door several times while I stood against it, still hyperventilating. “Mira, you've gotta let me in.” She hissed, hitting the door like she would knock it down. “Raina…” I moaned, wanting to be left alone. There were several buttons the sight of him had pressed on in my head, and I wanted to explore wh

Sorren’s POV It had been two weeks since that night in Mira’s room. I was barely able to keep my head, fighting the faceless Luna several times. She had even started appearing in my dreams to fight and show me horrific things. “So, what's next?” Khalid asked, jolting me from my thoughts. We were at a neighbouring pack to form alliances and strengthen the ones we already had in preparation for the battle against the faceless Luna and whatever army she has. It was all so exhausting and I hadn't seen Mira for a week. I was with Selina and her goons, so I was sure of her safety. “Erm… can you remind me about what we're talking about again?” I asked, and he sighed deeply, like he was trying not to scream at me. “What's wrong, Alpha?” Khalid asked, taking a seat. “Nothing.” I shrugged. “C'mon.” He hissed. “I know you better than I know the back of my hand, so you shouldn't lie to me.” “I just have a lot on my mind especially with the faceless Luna and Thalos’ relentless efforts to f

Sorren’s POV “What fire needs to be quenched?” I asked Khalid who stood before me. He was panting hard like he had been running, and that got me more concerned. “It's the ladies…” he muttered. “Lady Selina is tongue lashing someone.” I sighed, going to de-escalate the situation. I felt horrible the whole day. I had had sex with an old flame, and I didn't hate it. I just wanted it with someone else also, and it annoyed me that I could be so selfish. I walked into Mira’s room after making sure that everyone had slept. She was shocked to see me, and this time, the lights were on. She looked tired and sad, and I couldn't place my hands on the reason for it.“Thank you so much for the supplies. They mean a lot to me.” She muttered from the other end of the room. It was obvious that something was wrong, but she also didn't seem like she'd speak about it. “What are you going to draw or paint first?” I asked, walking close to her, but she also immediately started moving, and that alarme
