プロローグ — 記憶の残響 —
冷たい風が荒れ果てた大地を吹き抜ける。
かつてそこには、栄華を極めた王国があった。しかし、今や残るのは崩れた城壁と、風に舞う塵ばかり。エルセリア王国。
古の叡智を受け継ぐ王家が統べる、誇り高き魔法の王国。 だが、それはすでに歴史の闇へと消え去った。燃え盛る城、響き渡る剣戟。
帝国の軍勢が押し寄せ、城門が無惨に打ち砕かれる。 血飛沫が舞い、石畳を濡らす。王族の悲鳴が夜の闇に溶けていった。「この記憶を……決して失ってはならぬ……！」
父王の震える手が、幼き王女の肩をしっかりと掴む。
焦燥と悲哀に満ちた瞳が、娘の姿を焼き付けるように見つめていた。「許せ、セリス……。だが、お前を生かすためには、これしかない……」
父王はそっと額に手を当て、静かに呪文を紡いだ。
震える唇からこぼれる言葉は、柔らかく、それでいて強い意志を宿している。指先から淡い金色の光が広がり、精緻な魔法陣が空中に浮かび上がる。
光の粒が舞い、セリスの額へと吸い込まれていく。彼女の視界がぼやけた。
まるで霧の中に迷い込んだように、現実と記憶が溶けていく。「……お父さ……ま？」
声を発しようとしたが、口から出たのはかすれた音だった。
遠のく意識の中で、父王の最後の囁きが耳に届く。「生きろ……我が娘よ……。いつか、この世界の真実を思い出せ……」
次の瞬間、彼女の周囲がまばゆい光に包まれた。
——目を開けたとき、そこは見知らぬ村の片隅だった。
頬に冷たい風が触れ、かすかに草の香りが漂っていた。
遠くで鳥のさえずりが聞こえる。だが、彼女はすべてを失っていた。
王国も、家族も、そして自らの名すらも——。だが、その胸の奥には消えぬ残響があった。
それは、滅びの中に残された最後の灯火。——その名は、セリス・エルセリア。

Sorren’s POV “Do we have any idea as to why they're here?” I asked as we headed for the pack house. Mira was way behind us, but I couldn't wait for her. The situation at hand was dire, and I wanted to see it to a quick end. “No. Lady Selina has been talking to them ever since. No one is speaking to anyone.” Khalid said. I could see several wolves that accompanied them from their pack.
