Sorren’s POV

“We have no need for the omegas to mate for as long as they don't want to.” I said, standing firmly on my point. “They will only have sex with the men they find attractive and want to have sex with.”

“But we should enforce…” Peter, my gamma growled.

“We would not enforce whatever the Alpha doesn't want us to enforce.” Khalid said calmly, cutting him off his speech.

I rested into my chair, closing my eyes for a few seconds to avoid expressing the anger I felt. It was not because they were all trying to make love because it was a blood moon, but because of the happenings all around.

The wolf world had destabilized greatly, and it was getting the better part of me.

“What's the latest thing you think I should know?” I asked, and Khalid swallowed hard.

“Erm… Alpha Harrison of the Stone Creek pack has conquered another pack.” He said, and I chuckled lightly although my stomach grumbled due to the disgust I felt.

“We aren't directly neighbours with them, so we shouldn't be bothered about him.” Peter said. “Alpha Carmen should be the worried one since they share a border, but us? Nah.”

“I'd even love to see him try.” Khalid scoffed. “I'll enjoy watching his bones break. He knows the people he fucks with, and the people he shouldn't.”

They moved on to speak about other things, but I felt greatly disturbed, unable to shake my mind off the Stone Creek pack and Alpha Harrison.

“Khalid, get the car ready.” I ordered.

“Where to, Alpha?” He asked.

“Just get the car ready.” I said, and he immediately stood up.

“Can I follow?” Peter asked.

“Sit this one out.” I growled, leaving the room.

On getting out, Selina was standing by the door with her arms folded. Her blue eyes fell on me, and she didn't try to hide it that she had been waiting by the door for a while. She pushed her blonde long hair behind her ear.

“Where are you headed to again?” She asked, rolling her eyes, shaking her head gently. Khalid and Peter walked out of the room at the same time. They coughed and walked away.

“I just want to check something out.” I muttered, pulling her close.

“Just don't lie this time. You want to escape mating with me again this blood moon.” She hissed. “And somehow, you don't even have a good excuse this time.”

I grabbed her by the waist, pulling her close till her body was pressing hard against mine. Her eyes widened as she was shocked that I made such a move.

“Why would I be avoiding you?” I asked, letting the horniness I felt have a little hold on me. The blood moon usually occurred once in three months, allowing the men of the pack to procreate. Truly, I had been avoiding having sex with her on any of the nights.

“I don't know.” She shrugged, tugging at my shirt.

“We make sweet love several times, and you think I would be doing that if I don't want a baby?” I asked, and she shrugged. I was obviously getting to her since she shied away from looking directly into my eyes.

“Alpha, the car is ready.” Khalid said from behind.

“Wait for me, I'm on my way.” I growled, holding Selina by the neck.

“How long will it take you to be back?” She asked, and I shrugged.

“Not long enough. Get ready and wait for me in bed, I'll be back.” I muttered, kissing her on the lips.

I could hear purrs from her chest. She skipped away happily as I walked downstairs, closing my eyes to avoid letting my wolf take over.

***

I saw her coming. I heard her footsteps, but I didn't want to help to avoid trespassing. She had a familiar scent, or should I call it… intriguing? She's definitely an omega with that scent, but the determination with which her legs connected with the ground was greater than that of a Luna’s.

Khalid was away, parking the car properly, and I was just here, waiting and waiting for the prey that was being chased by a predator to get to me.

And then, she shot out of the woods, panting hard and running relentlessly. She was looking back, but heading directly towards me.

She bumped into me, and I easily caught her before she fell.

“Mate.” I growled as I bent over to carry her up. The shock firstly overtook me since I had never met a goddess given mate. Selina is my mate to be because she comes from a very powerful pack that supports my pack. It's sort of an arranged relationship, but we care for each other.

Her eyes blurred, and I felt pity for her as she spat out the word I had just growled.

“Mate.”

Her pretty brown eyes, curved like that of a cat's dimmed, and I carried her up, still staring into her eyes.

“I'd like to take her back to my pack as I'm supposed to mate with her.” The horny scumbag that had chased her all the way said brutely.

“Shh…” I hissed, and he immediately went quiet. He couldn't stand challenging an Alpha on foreign soil.

“I, Sorren Raven, Alpha of the Pinnacle Pack, reject you as my mate.” I growled, feeling a sharp pain in my chest.

“Oww… argh!” She screamed gently as she must have also felt the sharp pain I felt from the severing of the mate bond.

“Alpha Sorren.” The idiot gasped. I didn't glance at him because that'd have been too good for someone as stupid as he is.

Her eyes slowly closed, and I felt pity for her. There were bruises all over face, but she was indeed pretty. She looked haggard and terribly underfed. I felt more anger since she could have been my mate.

Still in this horrible state, this bastard of a horny whatever wants to have sex with her?! Forcefully?!

“Now that that's done, can I take her with me?” He asked.

Khalid got there just as I had the thought of snapping his neck.

“Alpha?” Khalid asked with an uncertain voice.

“Please… don't take me back… there.” She muttered those words before losing consciousness totally. I barely even heard the words.

“I'd like to have the girl so I can leave without any problem.” He growled.

“Such effrontery.” Khalid scoffed.

“I hope we're with enough money.” I growled.

“Erm… About how much?” Khalid asked.

“Whatever amount would be demanded.” I said, locking eyes with the lowlife that stood before me with a bulge in his pants.

“Demanded?” Khalid sounded confused.

“Yeah. I'm buying this one.” I said, and everyone's eyes widened.

“And this one standing also, so I can kill him.”

Mira's POV “My guess is… Harrison made it happen somehow so I wouldn't become Alpha.” Alpha Sorren shrugged. There was no more sadness on his face. He was a little bit indifferent, although it broke my heart that he ever liked someone that much. “And unluckily for him, my parents died the next week… dark, right?”“I'm so sorry.” I whispered, standing from the table I had leaned on. “That must have been terrible.” “It was.” Alpha Sorren shrugged. “But you have Lady Selina now, yeah?” I mumbled, unsure why I did that. “Do you still like Luna Nia?”“I don't.” He responded, resting his back on the door. “Sometimes, hate is a stronger emotion than love.”“Why would you have sex with someone you ‘hate'?” I asked, air quoting the word. “Because she appealed to me. I don't think I can explain it to make you understand.” He muttered, and I turned my back, feeling very jealous. “Why are you so mad about it?” He suddenly asked. My eyes widened, and I turned back to refute it, but the words

Sorren’s POV Four Years Ago…I pulled Nia closer to me on the bed. I hated that she was far away from me even if it was by a few inches. I kissed her neck, but she was very unresponsive.“Would you tell me what's wrong, or will you just keep pushing me away?” I asked, raising my head a little. “You've been out of here since last night, and I can't even tell what's going on.”Nia rolled over uncomfortably just so she could look at me. She held my face, but there was still a glint of sadness in them. “You made me come more than 5 times last night.” She giggled, and light returned back to her face. “I really just want to catch my breath.” “Have you breathed well enough now?” I asked with a smirk on my face. She pulled me in for a hug and kissed my ear. “You know I love you more than anything, right?” She asked , and I nodded, pulling her body close to me. The only thing that separated us was the very light night gown she wore that I wanted to tear apart. “I know you do, and I love y

Mira’s POV I ran to my room immediately I walked out of the kitchen. I had anticipated seeing him when everyone else walked in, but I had my hopes dashed, and out of nowhere, he just walked into the kitchen looking like that? The past two weeks were horrible. I had blacked out more times than I had in a whole month. I kept waking up to a splitting headache, and I felt like I was dying. But, according to Raina, my skin was popping, and my features were getting visible. The only thing that kept me going was drawing, and the several thoughts of showing Alpha Sorren. I kept having unusual thoughts about the things that'd happen, and ignoring them was very difficult. Raina knocked on my door several times while I stood against it, still hyperventilating. “Mira, you've gotta let me in.” She hissed, hitting the door like she would knock it down. “Raina…” I moaned, wanting to be left alone. There were several buttons the sight of him had pressed on in my head, and I wanted to explore wh

Sorren’s POV It had been two weeks since that night in Mira’s room. I was barely able to keep my head, fighting the faceless Luna several times. She had even started appearing in my dreams to fight and show me horrific things. “So, what's next?” Khalid asked, jolting me from my thoughts. We were at a neighbouring pack to form alliances and strengthen the ones we already had in preparation for the battle against the faceless Luna and whatever army she has. It was all so exhausting and I hadn't seen Mira for a week. I was with Selina and her goons, so I was sure of her safety. “Erm… can you remind me about what we're talking about again?” I asked, and he sighed deeply, like he was trying not to scream at me. “What's wrong, Alpha?” Khalid asked, taking a seat. “Nothing.” I shrugged. “C'mon.” He hissed. “I know you better than I know the back of my hand, so you shouldn't lie to me.” “I just have a lot on my mind especially with the faceless Luna and Thalos’ relentless efforts to f

Sorren’s POV “What fire needs to be quenched?” I asked Khalid who stood before me. He was panting hard like he had been running, and that got me more concerned. “It's the ladies…” he muttered. “Lady Selina is tongue lashing someone.” I sighed, going to de-escalate the situation. I felt horrible the whole day. I had had sex with an old flame, and I didn't hate it. I just wanted it with someone else also, and it annoyed me that I could be so selfish. I walked into Mira’s room after making sure that everyone had slept. She was shocked to see me, and this time, the lights were on. She looked tired and sad, and I couldn't place my hands on the reason for it.“Thank you so much for the supplies. They mean a lot to me.” She muttered from the other end of the room. It was obvious that something was wrong, but she also didn't seem like she'd speak about it. “What are you going to draw or paint first?” I asked, walking close to her, but she also immediately started moving, and that alarme

Mira’s POV After a while, I calmed down and accepted my fate as it was. Raina was still bothered about me, asking why I was on the verge of losing it. “Mira, I need you to tell me what's going on before I go crazy with you.” She said, brushing my hair gently. “It doesn't matter.” I whispered, shrugging. “You were right though.” “Okay, now I'm more confused. What's going on?” She asked, slapping my shoulder gently. “You were right about Alpha Sorren. I'm just an omega and I should act like it so I won't lose my space here.”“Hey hey hey, relax, okay?” Raina left my embrace to look at me. “I'm pretty sure I didn't say all that. I just want you to be careful.”“Yeah. It all points to the same thing I said.” I shrugged. “You really have to tell me what happened.” She muttered, and I shrugged. I'd have given in if someone didn't knock on the door. “Leave!” Raina snapped.“Who's there?” I asked.“Elphinstone.” She called her surname.“What's it?” I asked.“It's your turn to clean Be
