“Argh!”

“Did you invite me here in your office so I can witness how frustrated you are?” Olivia asked and crossed her arms in front of her chest and scrutinize me with her look.

I breathed deeply and walked to her, the sound of my red stiletto thumping on the tiles of the floor.

“Look, Olivia,” I started.

“Yes?” she smiled patiently.

“I bumped into Erwan last night.”

She raised one of her brows. “You talked to him?”

I defensively shook my head and wriggled my hands. “No no, of course, I didn’t mean to talk to him. It’s just… how do I say this? I… I was cornered. Trapped, you know. I was left with no choice but to speak to him.”
