My dinner with Amy, David’s assistant, was barely tolerable. The girl was as dumb as a stump, there were few things that she was good for, one was answering the phone, two was looking pretty, even if she wore too much makeup, and the third we were about to find out if she was any good in the sheets.

She told me about her poetry during dinner and we shared a bottle of wine that seemed to loosen her up, and when Amy’s loosened up, she’s probably the easiest hookup I’ve ever had – and that’s saying something.

We were in the cab heading to my place when she mumbled into my ear, “Roses are red, violets are blue, I’m coming home with you,” and giggled. I was going to need a couple more drinks before I go through with this tonight.
