Se connecterJason's POV
Nobody besides the people back at the foster home is aware of my psychic abilities.
Besides, I don't see it as an ability anymore. It's a curse. I have never been proud of possessing such power.
“Uhm…Sage Freya. That's your name right?” She nodded in response. “This isn't helping me at all.”
“Can you at least sit next to me?” She urged, trying to come closer to me.
I paused, trying to see whether trusting her was a really good idea.
“I think I'm better standing here.”
“Your power is a great thing, and I'm sure you don't know that.”
Why is she so bent on throwing so much value to this same power that I view as a curse?
“While I was at the foster home, my teachers told me that it would make me run mad.”
She smirked. “That's a huge lie, Jason.”
“I still don't trust you.”
“You don't need to trust me.”
“How did you know about my psychic ability?”
She paused as a soft grin spread across her face. “I can smell true power when I see one.”
“Look, I'm pretty sure you have the wrong guy.”
“I'm a Seeress,” she replied. “I'm never wrong.”
“This might be your first time.”
She stood up, making her way towards the door.
Then she stopped and turned towards me. “There's so much more to your power that you have no idea of.”
I sat on the edge of the bed, staring at her. “I don't want to get your hopes high.”
“I can help you develop into your full potential.”
She walked out through the door and shut it right behind her.
I leaned back on the bed, eyes glued to the ceiling as I pondered on the words she just told me.
Me…an Omega. I scoffed. She must be joking.
There's literally no way I can be of help to this pack.
They have themselves figured out, and there are tons of Betas here.
I literally sensed the energy that thrives within these walls. So there's definitely no way I'm going to become some…saviour or something.
Suddenly, my door was pushed open, and the Alpha walked in.
I swallowed hard, nearly choking under the aura he pulled right into the room.
I bowed my head slightly, making sure I avoided his piercing gaze.
He shut the door behind him, and then a sudden wind blew against my skin.
Goosebumps covered my entire body, and I just curled myself to the corner of the bed.
“Jason, right?” His baritone voice shook my nerves with trembling fear.
My limbs were visibly shaking, but I tried to force a nod.
He crossed his hands behind his back and leaned against a wall.
“There's no need for you to be scared.” His voice sounded really warm.
I lifted my eyes slowly and looked him in the eyes as utter shock was etched upon my face.
This wasn't the treatment I was expecting from an Alpha.
But I dare not question his actions. I know I want answers.
I know I'm very curious. But I can't let my curiosity put me into any further risks.
“I need you to feel free to change into the clothes in the wardrobe.”
I nodded, making sure I didn't utter a single word.
With that, he took his leave, shutting the door behind him.
I exhaled heavily, letting go of the air that seemed to have been choking me in my lungs.
That was a really intense moment for me, because it was just too hard for me to catch enough air.
Soon, darkness covered the night's sky, and insects could still be heard creeping from corners.
I kept turning from side to side, trying so hard to get myself to sleep.
But it seemed like it was going to be impossible for me to sleep.
That's the way I felt until my eyes shut.
Suddenly, I jerked from my sleep, heart racing with throbbing fear.
I just had a vision.
One of those many visions I always have while I'm asleep.
But this one seems shocking to me.
It's about Alpha Luther.
Something terrible might happen to him if I don't tell him this dream.
But I still can't go ahead and wake hom up tonight.
I remained on my bed, eyes glued to the ceiling as I waited for dawn.
Light slowly came, until it was finally the beginning of a bright new day.
I sat upright on the edge of the bed, heart thudding loudly against my chest as I thought about approaching Alpha Luther.
I stood to my feet, taking deep breaths as I kept placing one foot in front of the other until I got to the door.
But my limbs suddenly began to tremble so I returned back to the bed and laid back.
A few hours later, while I was buried deep in my thoughts of how to get over this burning desire to tell Alpha Luther about this vision, I heard a soft knock press against my door.
The door-knob turned, and the door creaked open as a maiden walked in.
“Alpha Luther has asked you to come down for breakfast.”
I jumped to my feet right away, braising myself as I went down the stairs to honour the invitation for breakfast.
I guess this is the best time to tell him about my dream.
I sat on the same spot reserved for me on the dining table, eyes darting away from him as I tried so hard to avoid that intimidating glare from his eyes.
I cleared my throat, pulling his attention towards me.
“Plea…please…I…I have something pressing I would love to tell you.” I stuttered.
It was so hard for me to get some control of my trembling fingers and sweaty face.
He nodded with no words coming out of his lips.
“You…you need to be very careful on your way out.”
His brows furrowed as he stared at me. “I don't understand.”
“Actually, I got a vision last night,” I replied. You were attacked on your way out today.”
Alpha Luther's POV“Are you sure about this young boy you purchased from the auction?” Darius walked into my office when I was having a really really long day at work just to ask me this question. I get the fact that he loves looking out for me. That's literally what friends do for each other. But I don't think this is really the right time to be asking me such a question. What would it change if I'm actually sure about Jason? I was never sure about buying him in the first place anyway. “Is this question necessary right now, Darius?” He crossed his legs while he took a sip from the glass of wine which he had served himself. “Of course it is. Everyone knows you don't make decisions just like that.” “Unfortunately, I didn't think this one through. It was a suggestion from Sage Freya.” He arched one of his brows. “Sage Freya? How could you be so sure about whatever she tells you?” “She told me that I would find him at the auction house, and I did.” He chuckled softly. “So you
Jason's POVShe opened her eyes as a soft grin spread across her face while she remained in the same position. “Do you realise that you're about to embark on a journey that would put a test to everything you've known.” I gritted my teeth, clenching my jaw firmly as my fingers curled beside me. My eyes locked onto hers, and I fought off the nervousness that was seemingly trying to trail into my body. “Yes! I'm tired of being a curse.” “Come on in.” She stood up from the ground while gesturing towards the sofa in her room. I sat down on the sofa, and she offered me a glass of water. “When do we start?” I eagerly asked. I was literally tensed, and I couldn't wait for us to start whatever training this is. It might be the best decision I've ever made in my life, or it might be the most useless of them all. It all depends on the outcome of this entire arrangement. She smiled, taking a seat right next to me. “You need to relax, Jason. There's no need for us to be in a hurry.”
Allis's POVI sat on the edge of my bed, my heart racing with throbbing fear as my eyes won't even stray away from the door. Iria is very dangerous, and it's obvious that she wants me dead. What she did back at Sage Freya's room marvelled me. But my brows furrowed. What actually happened? She had me nice and clean. Her speed was one that my eyes couldn't even keep up with. But at the last minute…just at the very last second when that blade was about to pierce through my neck. Her hand froze mid-air. She struggled to push against the force holding her, but that was not enough to break through. I took a step back away from her, and that was how it…I really can't explain everything because I'm still confused. “We have the same power!” Sage Freya's voice echoed in my head. We are alike? How can she say that to a weakling like me? She's a Seeress. I am nobody. A weak Omega. “Jason!” I startled as my heart literally jumped out of my chest. Alpha Luther. How did he get in here
Alpha Luther's POV“What came over you, Iria?” I roared at the top of my voice, glaring straight into her eyes. She whimpered, curling herself to a corner. Sage Freya told me that Iria attacked Jason in her presence, but she was strong enough to subdue her before she caused any harm. My nerves were literally burning with fury as I looked at her pathetic self just existing in my room. I took a deep breath, getting a hold on my rage as I sat on my chair and poured myself a glass of whiskey. “Are you angry with me because of that Omega?” My brows furrowed as I turned towards her. Did I just hear her speak and question my anger? “Do you realise that I spent so much money buying hom from the auction?” “Exactly! That's enough reason for you to make him your slave.” “I'm going to pretend like I didn't hear you say anything.” I suddenly felt her hand over my shoulder as she wrapped her arms around me. “I'm sorry. I was only feeling jealous about the way you treated him.” I pushed
Jason's POVMy eyes widened as I looked turned around, heart racing as I knew there was danger lurking in the dark. I kept turning in circles, hearing low growls coming from the hushes. It sounded like that of a werewolf who had gone berserk. A beat patiently waiting for the right time to pounce on its prey. Suddenly the figure jumped out, claws protracted and mouth wide open, ready to devour me. I screamed at the top of my voice, and I jerked from my bed, panting heavily. I could feel my heart thudding loudly against my chest. It was a nightmare. The same nightmare that I've been having for days now. It all started when I got into this villa. It's like something has been hunting me from the shadows. But no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to read enough meaning into the dream. It's just been a blurry vision for me. I sat upright as the new day had already come. All I have been doing for the past few days is wake up and get called to come out and eat. Well, the same ro
Alpha Luther's POVI paused on my meal as I lifted my eyes and stared at him. “Are you being serious?” He nodded softly, making sure he avoided eye contact with me. He must be kidding, or perhaps he's trying to play some games. So I'm expected to cancel the plans I have today just because of a young boy who appears like an easy prey. He's only an Omega. I wouldn't have purchased it if not for Freya who asked me to go to the auction and purchase him. I still can't see what made her tell me to throw so much money away. “Finish up your meal.” I stood up from the chair. “I have somewhere important to be.” I grabbed my coat and briefcase as I walked out of my house and got into my car. My driver was already parked outside, waiting for us to leave right away. We drove out of my villa straight into the city. I had somewhere important to be, and I didn't want to be late for any reason. Sitting there and listening to that boy talk might just make me throw so much time away. Sudden
