Jason POV
“Five million dollars!!” The auctioneer yelled as the whole room went silent.
His eyes widened and I could see the evident shock etched in his eyes.
“Going for fi…five million dollars—” the auctioneer waited patiently for a deal breaker, but nobody said a word.
He slammed his hand hard against the table. “Done!” he affirmed. “Jason Adolphus has been sold!”
That there closed the deal.
I was dragged out of the auction house and tossed into the feet of the Alpha who purchased me.
My heart raced with throbbing fear, and I could feel my limbs growing cold as I sat right next to him in his SUV.
His eyes remained firm, jaw clenched tightly with a stoic expression.
We drove into his villa, and my eyes darted around, taking in the wonderful sight that surrounded me.
“She will show you to your room.” He said his first words to me.
Then he briskly walked into the mansion.
The maiden standing right next to me ushered me into the house and straight to my room.
She left the room immediately, and I just sat on the edge of the bed, eyes wandering like a lost sheep as I tried to crack the puzzle in my head.
I had a lot of questions, and most were fueled with the throbbing fear piercing deep through my nerves.
The door creaked softly, and my heart jumped right into my stomach as my eyes locked onto the door, patiently waiting for the reveal.
Then a male house keeper walked in, eyes firm with a soft grin across his face.
“Alpha Luther has demanded that you take your bath and join him down for dinner.”
Me?
How can I, an omega, be sitting at the same table with an Alpha?
Nah! Maybe he wants me to sit by his feet.
The house keeper assisted my feeble feet to the bathroom, and made me sit in a tub.
He washed me, cleaning me up properly as I hadn't taken a proper bath in days—maybe weeks.
He helped me into some nice pants and a shirt.
My heart raced, fingers trembled and palms became sweaty as I walked down the stairs to the dining hall.
Alpha Luther sat across the table, his eyes firm as usual, and his shoulders pushed an intimidating aura.
“Sit!” He ordered sharply, his voice cutting through the thin veil of silence that once cloaked the entire room.
“Wh…where?” I stuttered, mouth shivering as I tried so hard to keep myself standing.
His hand gestured towards the chair right next to me.
I swallowed hard as perspiration dropped through my face.
“Are you sure—uhm—I mean—”
“Sit!” His voice cut through mine.
I dropped my ass in the chair right away, keeping myself glued and my eyes thrown downwards.
Then he cleared his throat. “You can go ahead and serve yourself.”
The savoury smell of the meal was already pulling me, causing me to drool.
So I grabbed a plate and did as he instructed.
Then I pounced on my meal, forcing every bit of it down my throat.
Meanwhile, Alpha Luther calmly cleared his plate.
His eyes suddenly became locked onto me, and I literally felt like sinking onto the earth.
“I'll be in my room. If you need anything, you can tell your personal maiden to report to me with your request.”
He stood up and walked up the stairs.
I sat there, staring in awesome awe.
This wasn't the reception I was expecting.
What will make an Alpha to be so lenient to me…an Omega.
There's definitely got to be something wrong somewhere.
I walked up the stairs back to my room.
Just as I pushed the door open, I was startled as I jumped in fear upon noticing a stranger in my room.
“I'm…I'm very sorry. Maybe I came to the wrong room.” I quickly turned to take my leave.
“You're in the right place, Jason,” she said. “I just came to see you.” Her soft voice caused a sudden calm within my nerves.
My brows furrowed softly. “How do you know my name?”
A soft grin spread across her face. “Come…sit.”
My eyes darted between her and space right next to her on the edge of the bed.
With slow and hesitant steps, I went ahead to sit right next to her.
But I squeezed myself to a corner, making sure I wasn't encroaching into her space.
“You have no reason to be scared, Jason.”
“Why do you say so?”
“Why should you be scared?” Her eyes peered straight into mine.
I exhaled heavily, trying so hard to keep my heart rate normal.
“What could an Alpha possibly want from an Omega like me?” I asked. “He definitely wants to add me to his list of slaves, or worse, even use me for a sacrifice.”
She chuckled softly. “Trust me, Alpha Luther has no plans of hurting you.”
I scoffed. “Trust? How am I supposed to trust you? I don't know who you are?”
“I am Sage Freya.”
“How's that supposed to make me trust you?”
She took a deep breath, attempting to draw closer to me, but I instinctively moved away.
“You're not here to be harmed. Besides, you have a great significance in this place.”
I chuckled softly, almost bursting into loud laughter.
“For a Sage, you seem quite—”
“Funny?”
“I was going to say—foolish.”
“I'm not a Sage,” she replied. “I'm actually the High Seeress of this pack; the Moonspire pack.”
I cleared my throat. “I am an Omega. What could I possibly offer that would be of any use to Alpha Luther.”
She paused. “Your sight.”
My brows furrowed as I jumped to my feet, creating a gap between us.
“You mean my eyes?”
She shook her head. “You're blessed with a rare gift, young boy.”
“What gift?”
She stood up, hands wrapped in front of her as she took one step closer to me.
“You have visions…dreams of things that will happen. You see the future, Jason.”
I scoffed. “Perhaps you have me mistaken for someone else.”
She smiled as she looked straight into my eyes.
“Your gift can save us. It can save the Moonspire pack from the danger ahead of us.”
Alpha Luther's POV“Are you sure about this young boy you purchased from the auction?” Darius walked into my office when I was having a really really long day at work just to ask me this question. I get the fact that he loves looking out for me. That's literally what friends do for each other. But I don't think this is really the right time to be asking me such a question. What would it change if I'm actually sure about Jason? I was never sure about buying him in the first place anyway. “Is this question necessary right now, Darius?” He crossed his legs while he took a sip from the glass of wine which he had served himself. “Of course it is. Everyone knows you don't make decisions just like that.” “Unfortunately, I didn't think this one through. It was a suggestion from Sage Freya.” He arched one of his brows. “Sage Freya? How could you be so sure about whatever she tells you?” “She told me that I would find him at the auction house, and I did.” He chuckled softly. “So you
Jason's POVShe opened her eyes as a soft grin spread across her face while she remained in the same position. “Do you realise that you're about to embark on a journey that would put a test to everything you've known.” I gritted my teeth, clenching my jaw firmly as my fingers curled beside me. My eyes locked onto hers, and I fought off the nervousness that was seemingly trying to trail into my body. “Yes! I'm tired of being a curse.” “Come on in.” She stood up from the ground while gesturing towards the sofa in her room. I sat down on the sofa, and she offered me a glass of water. “When do we start?” I eagerly asked. I was literally tensed, and I couldn't wait for us to start whatever training this is. It might be the best decision I've ever made in my life, or it might be the most useless of them all. It all depends on the outcome of this entire arrangement. She smiled, taking a seat right next to me. “You need to relax, Jason. There's no need for us to be in a hurry.”
Allis's POVI sat on the edge of my bed, my heart racing with throbbing fear as my eyes won't even stray away from the door. Iria is very dangerous, and it's obvious that she wants me dead. What she did back at Sage Freya's room marvelled me. But my brows furrowed. What actually happened? She had me nice and clean. Her speed was one that my eyes couldn't even keep up with. But at the last minute…just at the very last second when that blade was about to pierce through my neck. Her hand froze mid-air. She struggled to push against the force holding her, but that was not enough to break through. I took a step back away from her, and that was how it…I really can't explain everything because I'm still confused. “We have the same power!” Sage Freya's voice echoed in my head. We are alike? How can she say that to a weakling like me? She's a Seeress. I am nobody. A weak Omega. “Jason!” I startled as my heart literally jumped out of my chest. Alpha Luther. How did he get in here
Alpha Luther's POV“What came over you, Iria?” I roared at the top of my voice, glaring straight into her eyes. She whimpered, curling herself to a corner. Sage Freya told me that Iria attacked Jason in her presence, but she was strong enough to subdue her before she caused any harm. My nerves were literally burning with fury as I looked at her pathetic self just existing in my room. I took a deep breath, getting a hold on my rage as I sat on my chair and poured myself a glass of whiskey. “Are you angry with me because of that Omega?” My brows furrowed as I turned towards her. Did I just hear her speak and question my anger? “Do you realise that I spent so much money buying hom from the auction?” “Exactly! That's enough reason for you to make him your slave.” “I'm going to pretend like I didn't hear you say anything.” I suddenly felt her hand over my shoulder as she wrapped her arms around me. “I'm sorry. I was only feeling jealous about the way you treated him.” I pushed
Jason's POVMy eyes widened as I looked turned around, heart racing as I knew there was danger lurking in the dark. I kept turning in circles, hearing low growls coming from the hushes. It sounded like that of a werewolf who had gone berserk. A beat patiently waiting for the right time to pounce on its prey. Suddenly the figure jumped out, claws protracted and mouth wide open, ready to devour me. I screamed at the top of my voice, and I jerked from my bed, panting heavily. I could feel my heart thudding loudly against my chest. It was a nightmare. The same nightmare that I've been having for days now. It all started when I got into this villa. It's like something has been hunting me from the shadows. But no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to read enough meaning into the dream. It's just been a blurry vision for me. I sat upright as the new day had already come. All I have been doing for the past few days is wake up and get called to come out and eat. Well, the same ro
Alpha Luther's POVI paused on my meal as I lifted my eyes and stared at him. “Are you being serious?” He nodded softly, making sure he avoided eye contact with me. He must be kidding, or perhaps he's trying to play some games. So I'm expected to cancel the plans I have today just because of a young boy who appears like an easy prey. He's only an Omega. I wouldn't have purchased it if not for Freya who asked me to go to the auction and purchase him. I still can't see what made her tell me to throw so much money away. “Finish up your meal.” I stood up from the chair. “I have somewhere important to be.” I grabbed my coat and briefcase as I walked out of my house and got into my car. My driver was already parked outside, waiting for us to leave right away. We drove out of my villa straight into the city. I had somewhere important to be, and I didn't want to be late for any reason. Sitting there and listening to that boy talk might just make me throw so much time away. Sudden
