I will start by pulling them out one after the other and replacing their positions by putting in different sets of people there until they are all aware of the fact that I was never happy with them even though I smiled with them.

Of all the elders who had visited me in the palace, it was only Randolph who remained by my side, consoling both Amelia and me.

If I were to change my circle of elders and co-rulers of the pack, he was the only person I was going to leave behind and grant him the privilege of everything he had ever wanted.

He gripped Amelia's hands gently and led her into the manor, returning in just a few minutes to where I was standing.

"Alpha Adolf, if I must advise you, I will suggest you come out of this mood and embrace whatever has happened. Valeria is going to be found, so you don't have to eat yourself up for nothing."

"You clearly don't understand my plight, Randolph, you don't!" I spat vehemently. "This is someone I have been longing to set my eyes on all these yea

After so much persuasion, I summoned the courage to let the cat out of the bag."My father has made my life a miserable one since I informed him about Uncle Rufus's mischief. He insists that his brother is never known to be as cruel as I classified him.""Oh, I see!..." He folded his arms around his chest and nodded repeatedly."Why does he feel that way though? Does he believe his brother over you, his daughter?""Isn't it obvious? I doubt if he ever listens to me after this. He is bent on trusting his brother against all odds. I'm tired, sincerely tired."I hope Sigil would understand what I meant by that. I needed to be left alone. He was already asking too many questions. He was silent for a while. He finally broke the silence by clearing his throat."I boldly suggest that you leave your father to his fate. He doesn't want to be corrected. He should see things for himself. I suppose that would make him believe you more, trust me on this."He spoke with so much wisdom. This was exa

VALERIA'S POVTo confirm my suspicions, Uncle Rufus suddenly arrived barely an hour after Sigil's departure. He made his way into my father's room. I awaited his next step, and just as I expected, the next place he visited was my room.He stopped by the door and kept knocking endlessly.I ignored him for as long as he kept knocking. Soon, he paused and walked out through the coriander.I perceived he went back to have a word with my father.I heard them conversing in an audible tone as my father accompanied him out of the house."She's probably not around. She must have gone to visit a friend as usual." I was baffled by how quickly he covered up for me even though he knew fully well that I was in my room.Rufus concurred. He gave up waiting and handed an item to my father. The item was wrapped in a brown thick paper. I was watching them quietly through the window.Rufus added when he had accepted the item from him."Give it to her when she returns." He walked out of the packhouse. My

"No, I haven't. I was just planning to, but I decided to come let you know first before summoning up the courage to tell my father about it.You know how obsessed my father is about his brother, Sigil. I doubt if he would ever believe me if I told him his brother is evil."I was surprised Sigil was thinking the same thing as me. I would probably say our minds were working together."He has no choice but to believe you. You are his daughter and he should listen to you. Just give it a try. You just have to explain things to him clearly."I nodded in agreement with the suggestion he just made."I will let him know. The worst he could do is to not believe me, and probably ask me out of his presence."I felt more fulfilled after speaking with Sigil about this.I couldn't imagine what would have become of my mind if I hadn't called him earlier.Speaking with him eased off the tension in me. I was undoubtedly comfortable around him.But this wasn't the case for my father. No matter how accom

VALERIA'S POV"It should be a private discussion and we can't do that standing here." I hoped he would understand what I meant.Sigil nodded gently and took my hands. He led me to where he had parked his car. When we were there, he helped me into the car and drove off.He stopped by a classy restaurant and made an order for us both. While we were still waiting for our orders, he kept staring deeply at me. I felt uncomfortable by his repeated stares."What?" He turned his face away and acted like he was not just staring a minute ago.I clearly understood what he was up to. He found me attractive and as such couldn't get his eyes off me.He had always longed for this moment. No wonder he didn't hesitate when I sought his attention."Here is your order." The waiter walked away after setting the table before us.Sigil gestured to me to have my meal, which I did without mincing words. He joined me shortly when I was halfway done with my meal.I smiled at his thoughtfulness. "Thank you for

They accused me and blocked the way as I headed back to the packhouse."And what do you think you are trying to do?" Meyer was surely out for trouble, but I needed none of those right now.I ignored them and made a swift attempt to continue my journey, but a heavy slap landed across my face."Who do you think you are to walk out on my mom when she's still speaking?"Brooke's voice caused a reverberating echo in my eardrums, coupled with the slap I had just received."What do you two want from me this time around?" I fought back tears. They shouldn't be granted the privilege to watch me break down before them.I was now fully aware of their games and taunts and there was no need to tear myself up over them. They were both just bitter because of the favor I had received from the Alpha since my arrival in the pack.Meyer brought her face and snared at me. "I see you have gotten yourself yet another date, huh? So it's no longer your training tutor anymore?""It's none of your business.""

KILLIAN'S POVI slammed the door closed and headed back into my chambers. The thought of the next step to take weighed me down strongly. I couldn't imagine getting my plans all shattered by Jack.It would indeed be disastrous. Jack was certainly not a person to be joked with whenever he sought to protect anyone. He would go to any length to ensure that my plans came crashing like a tornado.I needed to get along with Rufus, but there was no way I could do that. He had left the palace a while ago and it would be difficult to find him.I had no choice but to let it slide and let whatever was destined to happen, take its course. All I was sure about was the fact that no matter how far Jack went to expose our secret, that wouldn't stop us from hitting the plan.I reluctantly lay on the bed, the thought of what had happened earlier still tormenting my mind.***VALERIA'S POVI sense great danger. I don't know what it was about, but I strongly believe that something was amiss and would cert
