KILLIAN'S POV

I exchanged glances with my father, my happiness had just been refueled. "She is the chosen one," I announced, gripping her hands. "I can't wait for the festival to kick off already."

My father smiled back at me, and before he said any other word to me, he dismissed the other maidens and saw them through the gate.

He returned to my chambers afterward, witnessing the maiden and I trying to get acquainted with each other.

"I can see you are having a good time already." He teased me.

I smiled back copiously as I could no longer contain my happiness. "Yes Dad, I'm grateful to you once again."

All of a sudden, I found myself getting used to a total stranger whom I knew absolutely nothing about. Not only was she a powerful Alpha, but I also discovered that her energy matched mine effortlessly.

He smirked at us afterward and turned to leave. "Do have a nice bonding moment." He teased and finally stepped out of the room, leaving the maiden and me.
