Chapter 6

I was shocked as everyone else in the room and I wasn't thinking straight either.

"My mate", he called me rubbing my face, I pushed his hands away forcefully. Alpha Lucas walked towards us at a fast pace breathing heavily.

"My love, my mate, the special one the moon goddess had made for me", alpha Derek praised.

My heart raced and I wished everything would just stop. I wanted everything to just come to an end immediately, I found myself shading tears against my wish.

"She is not your mate", alpha Lucas barked as he pulled me roughly away from Alpha Derek's side.

"How dare you to question the moon goddess?" Alpha Derek asked turning to Alpha Lucas.

"What do you mean by your mate?" My dad asked as he walked up to us.

"She is my mate, the only one the moon goddess had made for me, I saw the sign, it was clear. She is the one for me and I have no doubts about that", alpha Derek explained, although not in a calm manner.

"You lie! You lie! I am not your mate Derek, I am not your mate!" I shouted at the top of my voice as tears began to run down my cheeks.

"What do you mean? What do you mean by Sally is your mate?" Alpha Lucas asked Alpha Derek in a rather calm tone.

Our parents only watched in anticipation, they didn't utter a word, they were all obviously speechless.

"I am leaving with my mate right away, I can't leave here without her, she will have to return to the dark pack with me", alpha Derek said.

"What? What do you mean?" I asked wiping my face with the back of my palm.

"I love you, Sally, I do. We can't question the moon goddess neither can we disobey her, she has mated you for me and she knows best, I wouldn't want to hurt anyone on purpose", alpha Derek went on to spit words like it was a piece of cake.

"She is my future Luna, she is not your mate. Go back to the moon goddess and tell her she had made a mistake, go and tell her the mate she gave you belongs to someone else", alpha Lucas said, he drew me closer to himself and hugged me tightly in his arms. "No one dares take you away from me".

"I dare you! I dare anyone to stop me!" Alpha Derek threatened.

"Please I beg of you, I beg you not to take me away", I said as I went on my knees, alpha Lucas quickly raised me from the floor.

"Alpha Derek please, please whatever you want we will give it to you, please I beg you do not take my daughter away", my mom pleaded as she walked up to us.

Everyone turned around in shock that my mom would speak up in front of alpha Derek, not without being asked, no woman ever did, not even his mom.

Alpha Derek turned to my mom with blazing eyes and I feared for her death, my heart began racing immediately, and I felt the whole world crumble in front of me. Alpha Derek would never spare my mom, he wouldn't, I wept in my heart and wondered why she had the effrontery to speak in front of Derek... I feared so much that I would be the cause of my mother's death.

I was helpless, I quickly went on my knees pleading for mercy on behalf of my mom.

"How dare you! How dare you speak without being asked?" Alpha Derek asked my mom. She went on her knees immediately and began to plead.

"Please spare my life, I didn't speak, I was only pleading, pleading for you to have mercy and spare my daughter", my mom pleaded.

"Please spare my mom, please don't hurt her", I pleaded on my knees. 

"We can talk about this please", alpha Lucas's father pleaded, but Alpha Derek said nothing to him, he smiled and turned to face me.

"The moon goddess chose you for me, I wouldn't want my mate to be motherless, I wouldn't be the cause of her mother's death. I would spare her head, I wouldn't chop off her head this time, this would die and be buried here", he said calmly facing me.

"I would spare your mom on one condition", he said and I stood up, cleaned my knee, and walked closer to him.

"Tell me I would do anything", I said.

"You will follow me to the dark pack, you are going to follow me peacefully then I would spare your mother's life",  he said.

"Kill me!" My mom said coldly to the shock of everyone. "Kill me, my daughter won't go anywhere with you, kill me and spare her", she continued.

Tears began to roll down my cheeks freely, I didn't say a word, I only cried.

"I gave you a choice and you have the right to banter with my decision?" He roared.

He immediately brought out his phone and dialed an unknown number while we all watched in anticipation. 

"Your service", he commanded and hung up.

In no time three members of his pack walked into the room raging and boiling, their whole body charged up for war.

"Take her!" Alpha Derek ordered and two of them started dragging my mom, "lock her up in my cell without food", he added.

My mom kept pleading, and my dad and everyone else in the rwere was pleading as well but it all fell on deaf ears, alpha Derek didn't pay any attention to the pleas, it all fell on deaf ears.

"Take her!" He ordered pointing to me, the last member of the pack picked me up, carried me shoulder high, and started walking out of the room. 

I screamed and pleaded for help but no one was ready to come to my rescue, I watched alpha Lucas fall to the floor as he began wailing like a baby.

My dad also started crying, alpha Lucas's parents went to him and started consoling him.

I was wounded, my heart tore in shreds as my mom was being dragged like a common criminal and I couldn't do anything to help. I was carried out of the house shoulder high against my wish, all my pleas and cries fell on deaf ears.

I cried and wailed myself into a stupor, I cried and screamed for help yet no one dared to challenge Alpha, Derek.
