Jadenne’s Point of View

Waking up in a plush bed, in strange surroundings and hearing that I have been poisoned should have been a shock to me. In truth, I tried very hard to care about what the older gentleman was saying to me, but all I could think about was the gorgeous emerald eyes watching me from across the room. Even when he yelled, he was still attractive. I had to fan my face because the room was getting so hot. Finally, the older man left.
