I woke up confused. Where the heck in crusty tomato am I? My neck ached and I let out a moan of pain, as I stretched my arms behind my back and rubbed my neck to soothe the slight strain and ache.
Groggily looking around, I blinked to clear my hazy disoriented vision to see I had slept on the floor, the book I was reading last night still in my hand, and no sign of Elijah. I glanced at the alarm clock and my eyes widen when I saw it was 11 in the morning. Omg!
I need to get to Nate. I stood up hurriedly bit caring about my messy appearance as I ran outside of my room towards Nate's room, occasionally waving and greeting a couple of my acquaintances. I have made quite a few friends if I say so myself, I didn't help them with work, and being nice would result in so many friends. Of course, I was happy.

"Where's Nate?", Elijah asked me as he dried his wet hair with a towel. My head whipped to the side at the impact of my mother backhanding me with full force. I fell onto the floor in a daze, clutching my throbbing cheek with wide eyes. This wasn't real. Though I didn’t need this much packing, Elijah insisted on covering me from head to toe as he didn’t want to take any chance of me getting sick. I was wearing two shirts with a warm sweater and then a trench coat with dark blue jeans and ankle boots while he himself only had a woolen jumper with a coat. “Wouldn’t you get sick?
