They started over and got to know each other more easily. As they talked, Gabriella felt more relieved and understood. The young girl then committed to speaking to her without any hesitation.

"You are friendly and don't inspire me to be docile, but I want to know. Are you a demon?" she dared to ask.

"Yet you associate with them," she insinuated.

"What was she trying to say? Did she know anything about the werewolves and witches of Canya?" Felicia had myriad questions swirling in her mind. She uncrossed her legs and leaned forward on the couch to show her interest. "I'm surrounded by demons? How is that possible? Is there any connection to your friend who died before your eyes?" she asked, adjusting her glasses on her nose.
