The fragments of the moon

Oliver's Synx stood in front of the back wall and began to meow as if something was right in front of them. Intrigued, Karyn approached and carefully examined each brick with her hands. Suddenly, one of the bricks sank into the wall, and an opening appeared on the ground, leading to a basement.

She looked at Kate, who meowed to stop her, but Karyn was too angry.

"Stay here and wait for Oliver," she ordered before venturing into the dark and mysterious basement.

Karyn descended the stairs slowly, her hands resting on the dilapidated wall for balance. At the bottom of the steps, she found herself in a long corridor illuminated by torches fixed to the sides.

She then noticed that the passage led to an old, dusty room whose walls appeared to have been built from beaten earth. As she advanced, a strong musty smell struck her nostrils, forcing her to cover her mouth with her arm to prevent coughing.

Her footsteps on the rocky floor betrayed her presence despite her efforts to remain stealth
