Chapter 49: Empty soul

The three people who were just talking their native languages turn and exit the hut. I gulp at their panic, could this really be that bad? I move after the stampeding people. They twist and swerve through tents and then later on through bushes and trees. We've exited their secluded clearing of the village.

We then come up with a new reserved space. Anon I see people, a whole village of people, connected by an extensive ring. They all have food in bowls, eating and almost rejoicing the people they are mourning's lives. This is their sacred burial place. "I can't. Stop." I halt my pacing steps right there.

"What's the issue?" Anna questions, the group of three turns to me. "I don't want to intrude on your cherished land," I reply, eyes wide with worry.
