Anna

The bustling noise coming from the pack had me looking out the window. There were lights everywhere that hid the darkness. This left me perplexed. What was going on?

“What’s that?” Stella asked from behind me.

We were in the kitchen, and she was at the counter slicing and chopping the vegetables. On the stove was a boiling pot, and the aroma of meat filled the air.

“Is there a party going on that we aren’t aware of?” I asked coming back to the counter.

Stella chuckled before dropping the knife. She was done.

“Today’s Sophie’s birthday,” Stella replied, washing her hands in the sink. “Apparently, Damon decided to throw a big party for her.”

I nodded and leaned against the counter. I was surprised by this. He loved Sophie so much that he would do something this grand for her. It made me wonder if I would have gotten the same treatment if things between us were different.

“Are you okay?” Stella asked, coming to the counter. She was wiping her hands with a cloth, her brown eyes

DamonI gazed at water gushing out of the faucet onto my hands. I was lost. For a split second, I forgot where I was. I sighed and splashed the water on my face. I looked into the mirror above the sink and looked at my damp face. My jet black hair was scattered across my forehead, there were dark circles under my green eyes and my cheeks were stained with dirt. I was a mess. My mind brought me back to the issue at hand. Isaiah. He was going to kill this family. I knew it. But when? When was he going to unleash his wrath and hunger on them? I didn’t know. I had to get them to safety but how was I going to do that? They wouldn’t just believe me. Plus I would be breaking a secret oath that had lasted thousands of years if I showed them who I was. I was lost. I slammed my hand on the wall and the house trembled in response. I could feel the rage burning in my chest as I recalled his laugh. He was enjoying this. Torturing me to get into action or making me sit there while he slaughtered

  • The Forgotten Luna   Chapter Eighty-Four

RohanI was glad by my mother’s arrival but that also felt like a double edged sword. If she was here, then it meant that there was trouble. Simone had told me again. Who this time? Rebekah? I doubt it. She’d told me to keep her away from all of these and let her do her job. A promise which I’d kept. There was only one other person who would have told her everything. Jarred. I crunched my teeth at that. I’d instructed him to keep an eye on Anna while I was away but he was nowhere to be found. And worst of all, I’d also warned her not to leave the house under any circumstance. Not only had she broken that rule, but had also questioned me as Alpha. There were a lot of things I would have loved to teach her, but my mom’s presence hindered it. “Anna. Remember that you’re not to stress yourself in your condition?” She reminded her. Anna’s face was an epitome of fury, but as she heard Caroline, the furnace reduced until she was back to normal.“Fine,” she said with a sigh of defeat. “I w

  • The Forgotten Luna   Chapter Eighty-Three

DamonImpossible. That was the word. There was no way this could be happening. Isaiah staying with humans? No. It couldn’t be true. There had to be something more. There was something he was hiding, and I was going to the bottom of this. But first, I needed to get this family to safety. They were all in danger. “I’m sorry I took so long in the shower,” Isaiah said, grinning. “Oh. Don’t worry, breakfast is ready, you may have a seat,” the blonde woman said. My eyes darted to the kid beside me. He was terrified as he stared at Isaiah. He knew something was off about him. His father was seated at the table, a newspaper concealing his face. He was nonchalant, absentminded from the impending danger. The only one amongst the three who had the premonition of death was this little kid. “So what’s your name?” The blonde woman said serving me pancakes with eggs. “Uhh. I’m Damon,” I stuttered. She smiled at me. “Damon. I’m Daphne. And this is my husband, Adam and our son, Cole,” she introd

  • The Forgotten Luna   Chapter Eighty-Two

AnnaMy heart skipped a beat as I saw him. Rohan. He was back—standing in the parking lot like some lost cat. His face was drowned with pain and guilt. I couldn’t tell what happened, but I knew that he’d been through a lot. I gulped hard as a realization hit me. If Rohan was here, that meant that Damon was here with him. This was what I’d been waiting for. I was tired of running away. This time I was going to meet him. I couldn’t find him, but I knew that he was somewhere here. He had to be. “Anna, what are you doing?” Stella asked as I walked towards Rohan who stood frozen in shock. My pulse was drumming my ears, and fear gripped me, but I didn’t care. I was going to confront him and Damon. Right here and right now. If he was working with Damon somehow to make me end up back at the Blue valley, then I was going to make sure I stomped my foot on him as well. Nobody was making me go back there. “Anna. What are you doing here?” Rohan asked as I approached him. “Where is he?” I aske

  • The Forgotten Luna   Chapter Eighty-One

DamonThe shrill cry of my phone ringing broke me out of my thoughts. How long had I been driving? Four? Five hours? I couldn’t tell. My mind was tuned in on one thing. And that was finding Isaiah. But my chances were growing slim. I looked up and saw the twilight breaking through the sky. Morning was approaching, but I felt there was still time. I could still catch Isaiah. I could smell his scent in the air. It was strong. It wouldn't be long now until I caught him. All I needed was a little more time, and then he’d be mine. My eyes darted to the phone that sat by the passenger’s seat. It was Rohan’s name on the ID. What was he doing? Checking up on me? That was pathetic for someone like him. I didn’t need anybody to look after me. I could do this myself. I was going to take down Isaiah. And he was going to tell me where he was. The morning sun shone through the windshield, almost blinding me. My body ached in pain from the fight that happened a few hours ago. Isaiah had wiped the

RohanTwo hours earlier. “Hold on Dayton, we’re almost there,” I assured, stepping my foot on the gas. We were back to my pack and I was speeding through the dirt road as fast I could. His blood was spilled all over my backseat, and I knew that would take a hell lot of scrubbing to get it off. He was groaning, twisting in pain as he fought to stay conscious. I wondered what Rebekah was going to say when she saw him injured. She may as well be done with me. I swerved the car into the parking lot and rushed out of the car. It was twilight and the sun was rising above me. I pulled Dayton out of the backseat and held him in my arms as I rushed towards the glass doors. “This is embarrassing,” he muttered as we rushed into the hospital. “Trust me. This isn’t embarrassing like it is to me,” I said as we stepped into the lobby. “Somebody help me!”That wasn’t a surprise. There was already a stretcher coming towards me. I placed Dayton there and before he left, he grabbed my hand. I looke
