174. Figthing The Battle (4)

A huge chaos and crisis was unfolding before my eyes. I still vividly remember how this small town alive even though the darkness of night shrouded it. But now all of that is engulfed in a big fire.

We literally bathed in a sea of fire.

The only reason why we were still fine despite the flames that enveloped us was thanks to Alpha Deen's divine energy. I'm not sure how his ability works, but it kind of protects us from being touched by fire.

Even though I couldn't really feel the heat of the fire surrounding us, my chest felt tight, as if all the air had disappeared. My hands are shaking. And after a suffocating silence, I stretched my hand out to Rohan. He grabbed my hand.

I can see this choice happening because of two possibilities. One, the desperate actions of the survivors to keep the Calamity away from them, or Jermaine ordering the burning of this entire city.
