41|Spellbound

She was resting comfortably on a satin pillow in front of the fireplace. Everyone was worried about her, and they kept stealing glances at her. But as soon as one of them tried to approach her to check if she was still okay, Luca immediately went on the defensive. The only people he allowed close to her were Sonja and Rachel, only because they tended to her wound.

He couldn't describe his relief when Sonja confirmed Cadence's wound was superficial. The bullet had just grazed her arm. She was lucky she took on her spectral form when she did.
