Chapter Four: Confirming Inforamation with Dr. Vall

I barely got into the near by tree in time, because the next moment, former pack doctor Mr. Monroe walked into the clearing. I hadn't really seen him since Elzie, Lara and I were young pups. Well, Lara a baby, but still, up until he retired, the pack did its' best to stay out of the pack's hosital. Even going as far to ask the Alpha if they could go into the human world or the next pack over for medical assistance. Because of this and the pressure from the pack, the Alpha had no chioce in finding a replacement for Mr. Monroe.

After making sure that the packed liked Dr. Vall Polaris, the Alpha went to Mr. Monroe and asked him to retire. Mr. Monroe wasn't happy and even made a big sceen, saying that women couldn't be doctor's or even do the job as good as men can. Which only hurt his cause even more. The Alpha had Mr. Monroe escorted to his house and had warrior's station out side, to make sure that he stayed home until the next day. So, Mr. Monroe would have the time to cool off and be able to talk, so that way the Alpha wouldn't have to use his Alpha command on him.

At the time I was only 13 and in school, but because it became such a big deal, the pack was talking about for months afterwards. I quietly sat down on the branch I was on and asked my wolf to keep a look out, while I figure out why Elzie looked like he wanted to kill the old man. My wolf stated that she would keep her senses out for anything and will let her know. Alethra knew that her wolf would keep a look out for her, so she focused on her brother and Mr. Monroe.

Alethra saw the look that Mr. Monroe gave her brother and she didn't much care for it or the tone he gave him. The more she listen to what they were saying, the more mad and worried she got. So, much so that her wolf had to calm her down and advised her to reach out to Dr. Vall. Alethra took a deep breath and did just that. Even through the link with the pack was becoming harder to sense, I knew that Dr. Vall would tell that it was her.

Dr. Vall are you busy? I asked.

Not really, just at the pack house with the rest of the pack, to welcome the Alpha and Beta son's home. Dr. Vall said.

I understand, but this is important, please don't let anyone know that we are talking. I said.

K, I understand Alethra, go ahead. Dr. Vall said.

Is Mr. Monroe supposed to be still practicing medicine? I asked.

This confused Dr. Vall, because everyone in the pack should know that he is retired and no longer has a license to practice anymore. But she answered anyways.

No, he is not, Mr. Monroe is retired and no longer has the license to practice. Why do you ask?

Because I overheard a conversation between Dr. Monroe and my brother Elzie, and it seems that he was been treating my brother's mate. For what I don't know, neither is saying. And that the Alpha wanted Mr. Monroe to treat her because my brother has been away from the pack for so long. That is all the information I know. Alethra said.

This made Dr. Vall mad, she knew that the old mad didn't think much of her, but she is the pack's doctor. He should have come to her, when the Alpha asked him to do anything medical rise. And the Alpha, letting Mr. Monroe treat someone without a license to do so, is unheard of.

Dr. Vall are you still there? Alethra asked

Yes, I am still here. Dr. Vall said.

Please don't do or say anything, I will try to get more information about what is going on, just please be ready to meet at our normal location. I said.

Dr. Vall wasn't happy about what she just learned and she wasn't happy about having to wait either. But she knew that Alethra was right, they needed more information, and more importantly Elzie's mate might be hurt.

I won't do or say anything, Dr. Vall said.

After getting the confirmation from Dr. Vall, Alethra closed the link and finished listening to Dr. Monroe and her brother's conversation. And saw that even through Dr. Monroe wasn't happy about being turned away, he left anyways.

Alethra's wolf confirmed that no one else was in the area and they both confirmed that Mr. Monroe wasn't coming back, before jumping down from the tree and leaning against it. She crossed her legs in front of her and looked at her brother, trying to decide how to tell him about Mr. Monroe. But first, her brother never answered her question. She disliked not being able to fully trust him, but it was what it was.

You never answered my question, I said.

He looked at me confused, so I re-asked my question.

Who were you talking to this time or who were you also mindlinking?

He laughed a little and said that he was talking with his wolf Orion and thinking about how luckly he was to have his mate.

I had to laugh at this, because instead of focusing on his surroundings, he was talking with his wolf and day dreaming about his mate.

Okay, I believe you, but you are not going to like what I have to tell you, I said.

Kind of thought so, by the look you have been giving me. Elzie said.

I took a deep breath, first I need to explained that this happened a year after you left to find you mate. Elzie nodded and asked for me to continue.

This is what happened after I turned 13 years old, I was in school during the time, but it was such a big deal that the pack kept talking about it for a few months afterwards. You, know that the pack really didn't like or trust Mr. Monroe and his old ways of medication. Elzie nodded and I continued. Well because of this the Alpha searched for a new pack's doctor and found one. Her name is Dr. Vall Polaris, she is really nice but very serious when it comes to her job and following the current policies when it comes to medication. Because of this she has gain the trust of the whole pack. After confirming the pack like Dr. Vall, the Alpha asked Mr. Monroe to retire. Of course he wasn't happy, but in the end he retired and no longer practice medicine.

So, when I saw him here today and heard what you two were talking about, I reached out to Dr. Vall. I am sorry to say I did need to tell her what was going on, to be able to the confirmation. Elzie nodded in understanding and motioned for me to continued. She told me that Mr. Monroe is indeed retired and no longer has an license to practice medicine and I was able to tell by her tone in the mindlink that she is not happy to find out that Mr. Monroe is still practicing and that the Alpha is the one that asked him.

I have asked her to not do or say anything, wanted a chance to speak with you first. Elzie nodded again, but was able to tell that he was mad and was having a hard time keeping it in. She knew that her brother did not like being lyed to or even used in someone else's plan. So, she gave him the time he needed to process the information she just gave him. She also felt bad for her brother's mate, because she might have gotten hurt because of Mr. Monroe and the Alpha.

She saw her brother take a few claming breaths and then closed his eyes. She kept on alert and waited quietly and patiently for him to get his wolf clamed as well. When he opened his eyes, they still looked he wanted to kill someone or even someone's, but he only said that Amelia is waiting. I pushed off the tree and started following my brother again. After some time Elzie looked over and said thank you for telling me the truth, I have had a feeling that something wasn't right in how Mr. Monroe has been treating Amelia, but told myself that the Alpha wouldn't let someone hurt my mate, let a lone send them himself. Told myself that she would be alright, and we would be alright, as long as I followed rules of the pack and did my best in teaching others in the training area. I reached out and touched his arm, as a way to give him some kind of comfort, because I couldn't come up with any words, to help ease the pain he is feeling.

He smiled down at me, said thank you. After this we kept walking in silence, until a small wooden cottage came into view. Than he turned around and said welcome to Amelia's and my home
