Chapter Three: The walk to Elzie's Home

As they walked in the direction of his home, Elzie reach out to his mate Amelia. Asking if she was okay, if there was any trouble while he was away. And to let her know that Alethra would be joining them. She sent him back her love, stated that there hasn't been any trouble today and asked if he was okay. He has told Amelia about his little sister Alethra and she knew how close we used to be. He sent her back his love and said yes, everything is okay. Just us finally having that talk, that has been long over due. She said that she understands and will have the tea ready when we get home.

Elzie smiled to himself, his so luckly in having Amelia as his mate. She could have rejected him at anytime and walked away from the life they have been living. But instead she has been steady and sure, in not just her love for him, but for the life that they will have one day. She has been his light and strength, even during the times when he could see only an endless darkness and have no strength to get out of. She was there giving him her love and light. And his love for her seemed to just grow by each and every day.

He looked over at his little sister and saw that she was in an alert stance, keeping an eye and ear out, to make sure that no one was following them. And relized that she must have been this way the whole time he was talking with Amelia and when he was in his own mind, thinking about how lucky he is and about how much he loved her. And Alethra was just walking quietly a little behind and to the side, staying on guard. Elzie felt pride in his little sister, but also concerned and wondered what happen while he was away to make her this way.

Another thing that we are going to have to try to get her trust on, before she is going to tell us, Orion said.

And also pointed out that I should have listen to him in the first place. That even through he couldn't tell Lara was lying, he felt that something wasn't quite right in what she told us, and now I have to make amends with Alethra and find away to get our sister back.

I know Orion and I will, I said.

You better, I want to meet my sister, Orion said.

She hasn't confirmed that she even has her wolf, I said.

She does have her wolf, the more time we spend around her, the more I feel the family pull to her wolf, so fix this, Orion said.

Alright, I will, I said and pushed him to the back of my mind.

Just as I was about to say something to Alethra, she asked,

Who were you talking to this time?

The question through me off, even while she was keeping her guard up and staying on alert, she was able to tell that I was communicating with someone, not once but both times. I had to laugh at myself for thinking that she would stop her training at 13, like most wolfs do, when they don't want to become an pack warrior. But not Alethra, she always liked training and school. I stopped walking and just fully comprehend what she asked.

She must have seen the look on my face, because she said, Yes, I know that you found your mate. One there has been talk around the pack about how you never show up to anything anymore and stated that it must because you found her. Of course, this was coming from disappointed females that had a crush on you. But also, I remember you stating that you would come back once you found her, so you could introduce her to all of us. I just figured you were letting her know what is going on.

I laughed out load at this, which gave me a look from Alethra.

I am sorry, just forgot how good you are in remembering things and being able to put information together in your mind, I said.

Alethra nodded and started to say we should keep going, but stopped midway and then all of the sudden she lept up into a tree. Before I could ask her what is going on, the old doctor Mr. Monroe came into the clearing. Again, I had to laugh at myself, because we both did the same training, but only she was able to know that someone was near by and act on it.

Hello Mr. Monroe, what are you doing in this area today? I said.

Mr. Monroe looked at me like I should already know, but to save time went ahead and answered.

I am on my way to see your mate Mr. Amoon, Mr Monroe said in a rough, irritated voice. I looked at Mr. Monroe like I wanted to ring his neck, but kept it in because I knew that the Alpha wanted Mr. Monroe to check Amelia. I just didn't like it and didn't trust the old man with my mate

Mr. Monroe, you just saw my mate yesterday, why do you need to see her again today, I asked in not a so nice of voice.

Mr. Monroe looked at me, like I was just someone unimportant standing in his way and said, Mr. Amoon, I forgot to run some tests and give your mate her vitamins yesterday, I am trying to help her, why do you keep insisting standing in my way and asking 100 questions?

Becasue she is my mate, Mr. Monroe, I said and Orion came forward just enough to show him that we are not going to take any disrespect, when it comes to our mate

I know that the Alpha wanted you to look after my mates' well being, since I had been away from the pack for so long, but that does not mean I will stand by and let you do whatever you want with her. I also said.

Mr. Monroe looked at me, like I had gone crazy, but at the same time saw how serious I was and that I was in fact ready to fight him, if it meant keeping him away.

Mr. Monroe was never a fighter and he even told the Alpha that they needed to be careful not to push Elzie to far. Mostly because he knew without a debt that he wouldn't be able to win a fight, if it ever came down to one. But the Alpha didn't care, he just wanted to make sure that Elzie and his mate never be able to have a pup. The Alpha didn't tell him why, only that he would be compensated greatly and that the Alpha would look the other way, when it came to him still practicing medicine.

Mr. Monroe took a deep breath and said, it looks like I came by at a bad time, I will come back tomorrow.

You will come back next week, and if there is any change in my mate that makes me worry, I will let you know, I said.

Mr. Monroe knew that the Alpha wouldn't be happy about him being turned away, he already thought that Elzie's mate might be with pup again and not only wanted him to confirm this but also force an miscarriage, if she was with pup. But Mr. Monroe, also knew he couldn't take on Elzie by himself, even with Elzie not being at his full strength. Mr. Monroe nodded his head and said, I will see you and your mate next week, I hope you both have a good weekend.

With that Mr. Monroe turned around and left as fast as he could. He needed to talk with the Alpha as soon as possible, to see what he would like him to do. But at the same time knew that it would be hard to get the Alpha a lone, since his son has returned from Alpha training.

After while Elzie let out the breath he was holding, he never liked Mr. Monroe, but didn't know what to do. Cause for all he knew, Mr. Monroe was the pack's doctor and trusted by the Alpha. While he was thinking about this Alethra jumped down from the tree she was in and leaned against it, with her legs crossed in front of her, for the second time this night.

She looked at me, like she was trying to make up her mind on how to say something. And by the feeling that Orion and I were getting, we were not going to like whatever she had to say next.
