Chapter Five: Elzie's and Amelia's Home

The small wooden cottage is in a clearing south of the training area, and is really nice with two flower beds on either side of the front door. The door itself is silver in color with a cresent moon hanging in the middle. All in all, Elzis and Amelia's home looked welcoming, something that Alethra would want to come home to. But then she saw it, on the left side of their home, close to the tree line. Two small grave makers, with flowers on either side of them. And her heart went out to her brother and his mate, cause it is hard enough to lose one pup, but two. She can't imagine what they have been through or what could have happen to cause them to lose both of their children. Not only that, this kind of loss can affect their wolfs, to the point that neither of them will be able to shift again.

This new information left Alethra with even more questions than answers. Because she knew Elzie well enough to know that he wouldn't let anything happen to either his mate or pups. She also knew that no matter what he showed on the outside, he was taking the full blam for their loss on his shoulders. And no matter what she said at this point would make any difference. So, as they walked to Amelia's and his front door, she took a few deap breaths and made sure not to show on her face that she already knew and how sorry she was about their loss.

The door opened when they got close and a beautiful women stepped out, she was tall, just like Elzie and herself, with long golden brown hear with red hight lights, her eyes reminded Alethra of the milky way, deep and beautiful. She gave off an claiming aura, which made Alethra happy, because her brother can be a lot at times. Since Amelia wasn't who I was meant to protect, her arua did have any affect on me. Since I had a lot of practice in hidding from the Alpha, I was able to not show this on the outside. Elzie went to his mate and put his arm araound her.

Amelia this is my sister Alethra, Alethra this is my mate and love Amelia. Elzie said.

I reached out my hand and said it is nice to meet you Amelia.

She took my hand and said it is nice to meet you as well Alethra, I have heard so much about you.

I blushed and laugh a little, then said, I hope that it was all good and nothing embarrassing. I looked at my brother then and saw him finding the sky every interesting at that moment.

Both Amelia and I started laughing, I think I am going to like you, she said.

I feel the same, I said

With that Amelia asked if I would like a cup of tea and invited me into their home.

I would love some tea, thank you. I said.

And walked inside, but as soon as I was about half way in, I smelled it, wolfsbane and silver. It took me a moment to confirm where it was coming from in their home and couldn't deny it. The smell was coming from the ketchen. I closed my eyse and concentrated because there where other scents in their home, but they were old, maybe a weeks time.

Is everything okay, Alethra? Elzie asked

I kept my eyes closed and replied, yea, please give me a moment.

Elzie looked at his mat and said okay.

After awhile of standing there analyzing the scents coming my way, I realized where I knew the scents from, it was mom, dad and Lara's scents. Because of this, I also knew why I smelled wolfsbane and silver. This was not good at all, I needed to get Amelia and my brother away from here and fast. But would they believe me, if I told them? There is only one way to know, my wolf said. I knew that she was right, so, I took a deep breath and opened my eyes. I looked at my brother and without me even saying anything, he knew that he wasn't going to like what I was going to have to tell him. For the second time this night.

I rubbed the back of my neck and said, I really only came to get some answers to some questions that I have. I never expected to find out that you have been targeted as well. Elzie looked at me and asked, what do you mean targeted and who else has been targeted?

I sighed and looked at my brother. Him and Orion were on edge and ready to fight whoever they needed to. I looked at Amelia, who was staying close to my brother and looking worred as well.

Before I answer any of your questions, I need to know when will mom, dad and Lara be back? I said.

This through my brother off a little bit, but answered anyways.

It was supposed to be this evening, but might be tomorrow or the next since the Alpha and Beta son's have returned from Alpha training.

I nodded my head and said okay, we don't have a lot of time. So, I will give you the information that is most important right now. Your food and most likey your water has been laced with wolfsbane and silver. I smelled it almost as soon as I stepped into your home. Not sure why I didn't smell it on you on the way here Elzie, but it is in the air itself. Now, I know that we have a lot to talk about, but Elzie this is something I wouldn't lie to you about, also we all need to leave tonight. It is not safe to stay here, let a lone have a conversation.

Elzie looked at me for a few moments and then turned to his mate. And started to say something, but she cut him off. I believe her Elzie, my wolf and I haven't been feeling well and at times it seems to get better but then all of a sudden it just goes back to how it was. I am with pup again, I don't want to lose it, so, please lets follow your sisters lead. Elzie pulled her into his arms, buried his face into her neck and breathed in her scent. When he lefted his head, he looked into her eyes and said okay, anything for you my love. With this Amelia gave him a kiss and said I love you too.

They looked back at me and said that they would follow my lead.

First, I need to let you know, how sorry I am about the lost of your pups. I said.

When they both gave me a surprised look, I explain that I saw the grave markers. They both nodded.

Second, you both need to pack, only the things that you can carrier, any heirlooms that is small enough to carry around your neck or be put into your bag.

Third, I am going to go out on a limb and assume that all the food and water you have is from mom, dad and Lara.

They both nodded, that the food and water have come from them.

Okay, all of it is going to have to stay here. Don't way, your are not going to starve. I said.

Fourth, when we leave here, we are going to have to move fast. Amelia, since you are with pup, you wont be able to shift. Don't worry, I have a very strong feeling that Orion will be able to go fast even with you and both of your bags on his back.

After Elzie held Amelia again and confirmed that Orion would be able to handle it, she relaxed a little. But still looked at me and asked how I was going to keep up with Orion.

I will show you both once we are ready to leave, it is a secret that I have been keeping since I was 13 years old. And I am going to be trusting both of you with it.

They both nodded again and started to pack what they were going to need and nothing else. I took a blanket from one of their chairs and went to the left side of the cottage. I knew they wouldn't be able to take the pups they lost with them. But thought that if they could have something that they could at least look at, from time to time. That it would make all this a little bit easier. So, I laid down the blanket on the ground and very gently pulled the head stones out of the ground and rapped them gently in the blanket. Then I put them into my backpack.

By the time I was done with this, they were both ready to leave. To make things less awkward Elzie had already shifted. Orion was huge, fully black with silver streaks running throughout his fur and a cresent moon on his forehead. He looked a lot like my wolf, but something was off, but didn't have the time to find out why.

I went behind a tree and took off my clothes, put them in my backpack with the head stones and then let my wolf take over. After shifting, she picked up the backpack and was able to get it onto her back, then pulled the straps tight, to make sure that it didn't move.

I mindlink Elzie to let him know that I was coming back out, he said okay and that he will let Amelia know.

We came out from behind the tree and heard Amelia suck in some air.

You are beautiful, she said.

My wolf bowed her head to her, and then looked at Orion. She gestured with her head, to show the direction that we will be going. Orion nodded his understanding and she took off. Making sure that they were going fast enough to get all of them as far away from the cottage as they could. But also making sure that it wasn't to fast to were Amelia wouldn't be able to stay on Orion.

At the same time I reached out to Dr. Vall and asked her to meet me at our normal spot, later this evening and to make sure that no one is following her.

She responded her understanding and said that she will see me soon.
