Syria’s POV

We remained silent as we rested peacefully on the grass.

My hand lay softly on Kael's chest, sensing the gradual rise and fall of his breath.

Suddenly, he extended his hand toward mine. His fingers wrapped around mine. It was warm and solid.

I glanced at him, feeling somewhat puzzled.

"What are you up to?"

I asked gently, my voice just above a murmur.

He replied without using any words. Instead, he grinned, his trademark grin that always sent my heart racing.

That recognizable blend of charisma and playfulness was evident on his face.

Then I saw something in his other hand.

A sparkle appeared…something tiny. I couldn't describe it initially, but when I squinted to examine it closely.

My eyes grew large in surprise.

“Kael…” I exhaled, but the remaining words lodged in my throat.

I could hardly comprehend what he was attempting to do.

“I created this on my own,” he stated.

It was a ring.

A golden ring featuring a shimmering diamond placed at the center.
