Chapter 10 The Void
Sunshine had woken from the dream with a start, and found herself suspended in mid-air. Fear gripped her, turning her bowels to ice; but she did not panic nor cried out for help. She tried to move forward until she realized that she was in the condition of weightlessness.
"Happy, are you there?" sunshine shouted. "I felt like I am in another world, amid convulsions, as if my soul had left my body."
To her surprise she didn’t feel too weak, light-headed certainly, and with a sense of unreality, but was able to move freedom.
"Calm down. I am here." Happy’s voice ran behind her. "I have heard the elders mentioned this place before, it's really incredible that a plce like this could exist."
It took her a while to get used to the "zero-gravity" state; she took a deep breath to calm herself down, gave it a little thought and drifted slowly with great effort.
"Where are Joy and Baby?"
"They are not here, we are alone."

In following hours, Joy and Sunshine were going to tour the streets and also stroll the open-air market. The streets were crowded with old people and the shops were full of wonderful magic things. One of Joy’s favorite pastimes was going to fairs and markets, but it was Sunshine’s first time visiting the market. It was much different from the markets Joy had been to in the human world as the facts that the basic needs of life were available with minimum effort for Shamans. There was a proliferation of stores, where are trading Dan medicines, traditional herbal medicines, swords, books, charms and spells and so on. Suddenly the sky was changing because the sun was beginning to fall behind hills, sending deep gold-colored rays slanting under the trees. The elderly were gravitating in the market, shuffling in cheerful pairs along the streets or jogging in slow motion past the shops, all quickened their pace in panic. Joy was attracted by a bunch of herbs; she was chatting with a vendor who was trading herbs. "For every disease, there are some herbs to cure it. This cinnamon-like medicinal herb is hard to come by, it can wrench people back from the fog of unconsciousness." The keeper said. "It’s getting dark, the market will be closed soon, we need to go out now." Hayden strode towards her. Hearing that, Joy rose to say goodbye while the keeper secretly put the herb into her packsack without anyone else noticing. Sunshine bustled through the street to meet Joy.
