Chapter 15

Suddenly the sky was changing because the sun was beginning to fall behind hills, sending deep gold-colored rays slanting under the trees. The elderly were gravitating in the market, shuffling in cheerful pairs along the streets or jogging in slow motion past the shops, all quickened their pace in panic. Joy was attracted by a bunch of herbs; she was chatting with a vendor who was trading herbs.

"For every disease, there are some herbs to cure it. This cinnamon-like medicinal herb is hard to come by, it can wrench people back from the fog of unconsciousness." The keeper said.

"It’s getting dark, the market will be closed soon, we need to go out now." Hayden strode towards her.

Hearing that, Joy rose to say goodbye while the keeper secretly put the herb into her packsack without anyone else noticing. Sunshine bustled through the street to meet Joy.

"What if we could not go out on time? What will happen?"

"It is not up to you because it is mandatory, or you are about to bounce off
