Emma knew that what ever attacked Steve was not ordinary. Even after it left, she still felt traces of dark magic in the house and it was very heavy.

Inwardly, Emma was in full panic mode but she did not show it. Years of medical training had kicked in as she tended to the Alpha's wounds.

Steve was going cold and his pulses were slowing down drastically. Whatever attacked him wanted him dead and Emma was surprised at how effective it was.

She did the same thing to the right arm. Then she inserted another needle into his sternum area to manipulate the heat from his werewolf core to spread throughout his body.
