The charity gala had begun two hours ago. We had been served dinner shortly after the welcome speech and as previously mentioned, the auction started an hour ago. The whole auction was a cover-up. It took nearly half an hour before I reached the destination. I knew what I was doing was stupid, but I didn't have enough time to think logically when my little brother was in danger. When I had received the call from the unknown number, I knew it could only be Kane. He finally called after months for the first time to only make demands. Elijah's POV When we reached the warehouse it was too quiet. Robert and the others quickly assessed the situation and surrounded the area. All of us went inside to find both Ava and Levi. It was only a matter of few minutes before we found her brother curled up in a corner of a cold room with a big gash on his left arm and tears running down his face. He flinched as I put my hand on his shoulder but raised his little head to look at me. Recognition passed through his eyes as he jumped into my arms tightly wrapping his arms around my neck whimpering.
