CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

It took nearly half an hour before I reached the destination. I knew what I was doing was stupid, but I didn't have enough time to think logically when my little brother was in danger. When I had received the call from the unknown number, I knew it could only be Kane. He finally called after months for the first time to only make demands. The man wanted me to arrive alone at a given location within the hour, or otherwise Levi would be dead. I knew enough of Kane, to know that his threats were serious. However, I couldn't go alone without giving some sort of indication to Robert as to where I was, so I wrote down the address on a piece of paper before escaping.

Now looking at the location, it looked to be an abandoned warehouse. There were holes in the walls, broken bricks scattered along the floor and not a soul in sight. I took a deep breath and stepped out of my car, making my way towards the entrance.

The inside seemed to be even more filthy with dust accumulating around all corn
