Science and Sake 2

Calista was surprised but did not let it show until after the kiss was done. She started to analyze it and break it down. What could this possibly mean? She watched him for any clues that he might give off, but his face was the same as it always was. It wasn't until she looked into his deep forest floor-colored eyes that she saw the storm within them. It was her only clue.

She remembered that he always had a stoic look on his face. It had been one of the things she thought about him was almost perfect. It wasn't that he wouldn’t smile; it was he couldn’t. He was always cracking some sort of lame dad joke, which would make her smile and often laugh too hard and to the point of choking. He was the only one in her life that could do that.

“What?” she asked as she looked up to him.

“I am sorry.” He said as he tried to look anywhere but at her. “I really should not have done that.”
