Jasmine's POV

I waited for the phone to ring for a solid twenty minutes until it finally rang, breaking the burdening silence of the room.

I received the call quickly, hoping to hear the news I have been waiting for, “Hello. Has he left yet?”

"It took a bit of work, but yeah, he left." The response from the other side made me finally release the breath I did not know I had been holding on to for so long.
