Chapter 2

“ I haven’t seen your face before “ He started sniffing .


“ You are a wolf! Why do you look so scared ? You haven’t seen someone shift like that before “ He added .


“ Wolf ? Me ? Oh please …No I am not and No ! I haven’t seen that before “ I scoffed , I was hoping he would offer a hand to help me up but he didn’t, he just stood there , staring at me , like I was the one who just shifted from wolf to a hot looking boy .


“ You are new around here , I can tell …Stay out of my path , i hate slugs and you just prove that you are one …A Slug!” He laughed and before I could fire back , he took off .


“ Slug ? My Name is Lilly…” I yelled , i looked around and it was now dark .


“ She is never coming….i have been abandoned…Again”

I was going to spend the night here and first thing tomorrow morning, I am finding my way back home .

“ Dad …Does she even wants me to stay with her ? I mean she couldn’t even pick me up …Monica drove all the way here and she still isn’t here , I just got jumped by a wolf boy, I am about to spend the night in some old abandoned house …Why did you have to die ? How am I going to do life without you ? How am I going to ?”

I was in the middle of my ranting when i heard a knock on the door , I immediately grabbed my heaviest book as weapon , who knows what could be waiting for me when I opened it .

“ Lilly …Are you in there ?”

I heard a voice call out , it was a woman , was she finally here , I dropped the book , immediately stood up , my heart was racing again , I was nervous , this was the first time I will be meeting my mother , I took a deep breath and rushed to open the door .

“ What took you so long ?” I said as I opened the door , I lifted my eyes and our eyes met .

This wasn’t the woman in the picture .

“ Who are you ? “ I asked.

“ Your aunty …matilda, Awww you are so cute , You look so much like Amber , Damn ! That’s a striking resemblance…You are her kid for sure “

The lady kept on Yapping and I just stood there , I was disappointed, so much for meeting my mother for the first time , she couldn’t pick me up from centervile and she couldn’t make it here too , how did dad fall in love with someone so cruel .

“ Hey…” She waved and I smiled at her , she looked nice , she had the energy monica had , there was a smile on her face , she looked bubbly, like she had been anticipating to see me , she rushed inside and grabbed my bags .

“ I am sorry Amber couldn’t come …She’s busy “

“ I can handle my bag , don’t worry “

“ Oh no …I have been anticipating to see you , i cooked , I prepared your room for you , I did a lot …when your mom called me and said she couldn’t pick you up , I took on the task immediately…I have been dying to meet you since I heard I got a niece …”

“ Exciting…And my mom , is she happy to see me ?”

“ Uhhh…Yes …” She replied instantly.

We took all my bags outside and she locked the house .

“ Is this your house ?” I asked as we walked to her truck .

“ It’s Amber’s , She sleeps here whenever she goes for a field trip in the big cities “

“ I see …Amber sounds interesting ”

“ Yeah your mom is quite a character “

“ Hop in ! I am taking you to your new home …Raven Pack ! You are going to love it !”

“ Raven pack ? That’s one creepy name …”

“ It’s just as creepy as the name “

“ Are you serious?”

“ No ! I am just kidding…You’re going to love it there , it’s where I lived my whole life , it’s an amazing town “

“ Town ? Isn’t it like a pack ?”

“ It’s a pack…i mean where a bunch of wolf stays is a pack right ? But we are in a modern world, Are we not? It’s far from what you were told in history class …it’s just like your city except they’re no humans “

“ I am Human “ I cut in .

“ I know …But nobody else knows that “ She smiled at me and I just sighed , she had such a good energy , and was humming as she drove into the city , she was right , it was just like Centervile but different , the aura here was different, the house were built differently, they dressed differently too but it wasn’t what I expected, they were cars, good building, I saw a bunch of teenagers riding a bike , it felt even developed than my own city .

“ They lied to you in history class …” She laughed when she noticed how shocked I was and I giggled .

“ Tell me about my mom…” I asked .

“ Your mom is a lot …She’s a beautiful , educated, perfectionist, she’s what you called the perfect woman and she’s the pack doctor ! That adds to her aura point “

“ She’s a doctor ?” I gasped , my dad left that part out which is surprising because I was obsessed with medicine and he didn’t mention my mom was a doctor .

“ Yup …Like a healer …Do you believe in those kind of stuff ?”

“ Nope !”

“ Well brace yourself for it , they’re a lot of things in Raven high that might look like fantasy to you …”

“ Like what ?”

“ Chat is over ! We are home …” She stopped the car and I looked outside , the house was beautiful, it was a thousand times bigger than my house in centervile and my house was big , I rushed out and I looked around , there were little to no houses around , just gardens , a lake , and another building opposite it .

“ That’s your mom’s clinic…you are going to be in there with her a lot …”

“ Why ?”

“ Welcome !”

A voice came from behind and I turned slowly , it was her.

“ Mom …” I muttered low enough that only I could hear , and she was beautiful even more beautiful than the pictures , blue eyes , brunette hair,she was tall , she had unique facial feature and her sister was right , I looked like her , she was just the prettier version .

“ Hello Lily…” She smiled at me , I just stood there , I didn’t know if I could hug her , that was what my head was saying but I couldn’t, one moment I was admiring her the other moment , my hatred for her came back .

“ Hi …” I responded bluntly.

“ Welcome to Raven Pack …I have been expecting you “

“ I don’t think you have been …Monica drove me from centerrvile and you couldn’t pick me up! That doesn’t sound like you were expecting me at all …”

“ Ouuuu…she has a sharp mouth like yours “ Matilda laughed .

“ Take her bags inside …I want to have a little chat with her “ She said her eyes still locked in mine , matilda moved closer to her and whispered , maybe she felt it was low enough and I couldn’t hear .

“ Why don’t you wait till dawn …it’s late and she’s probably tired “

“ She can say what she wants to say ! I plan on leaving tomorrow anyways !”

“ What ?” The sisters echoed .

“ Yeah …so let’s have the chat , shall we ?”
