Claire's POV

A strike of lightning came from the tree next to Gwen and me, making a branch fall. Gwen and I moved out of the way, and when I looked at Alpha Kane, his gaze was on me.

"You can't stop me, Little Red Wolf. Soon I will be the Ruler of the world. You might as well join me so you and I can rule together," Kane said

"I would never join you," I growled.

"You might as well join me now because as soon as the creatures from the Dark Realm arrive, you will have no choice but to submit to me."

"Everyone always has a choice," I said, shifting into Cara. Gwen Shifted as well, and we both ran toward Kane. Before we could get to him, we hit something that made us fall to the ground. I wondered what we could have hit because there was nothing there.

"Kane has a shield up. We can't get by him," Cara said. The hole in the sky was getting bigger.

"We have to get to him before the creatures get here," Gwen said
