Sasha

“Is His Grace angry with me?” I asked Ariel, who was trying to fix my dress on the bed behind my chair, while another woman was trying to help me with my makeup and hair.

“Oh, don’t worry. He is always like that. It has nothing to do with you.” She waves it off as nothing, but something is wrong. He didn’t seem happy to see me; there’s no way a person can also be so angry.

“Really? I am just nervous. I can’t…” I paused, sighing heavily.

“Don’t worry. You will be fine.”

“I don’t even know what is expected of me. All I know is I am going to this event,” I complained. I don’t like going to places without knowing what to expect. It never ends well for me.

“I’m sorry, Sasha. I wish I knew, but I have never attended one,” Ariel apologized, coming closer to me, and placing her hands on my shoulders.

“You will be fine. Don’t worry,” she assures me when a message comes on my phone. I frown, trying to make sense of what’s written.

“What does it say?” I lift it to Ariel so she can read it for me.

“He wants you to go to his office once you are done here,” she throws over her shoulder, lifting the dress for me. I stare at the sleeveless light blue dress.

“Is there something I can put on top? Like a sweater or something?” I ask, and she raises her brows in question. I can’t tell her it’s because of the scars I carry on my back. I need to think of something.

Fast.

“I get cold fast, so I would like to be prepared,” I lie, and she nods, going to get me a white sweater.

“I will get changed, then be back.” I quickly take the dress and sweater from her and then quickly rush into the bathroom. I don’t waste getting dressed, and once I am done, the ladies help me finish up everything before I head to His Grace’s office, which is on the first floor.

As I stride there, I keep thinking about what could go wrong. I hated being called to the office. It never ends well for me. As I pass through the corridors heading to his office, I can’t help but notice people giving me pitiful looks.

Taking a deep breath, I stand in front of the door. For my freedom, I am going to do this. He promised to let me go after I gave him that, so I am going to do that. I knock twice and then wait for a moment to pass before pushing the door open.

I stride into the office, my eyes peering around the room. “Your Grace?” I call him when I find him standing by the window, staring into space, like I found him the other night.

I slowly stride towards him, my steps slow and deliberate. “Your Grace?”

No response.

I lifted my hand hesitantly, wanting to tap his shoulder. His words replay in my mind, thinking of what he said the day he brought me here. ‘Never touch me first’

My hand hovers over his shoulder, my chest tightens, and something twists in me.

“Your Grace—” Before I could finish my sentence, he spun on his heel, grabbing my wrist. My heart thumps so hard, making me want to jump, but I hold his gaze. His eyes have darkened, and his lower lip is trembling.

“Your Grace”

“You,” A throaty, low growl comes. My heart races so fast, my lips twitching as I stare into his eyes. He tightens his grip on my wrist. He bares his teeth at me, his canines have elongated, and his claws are slowly coming out. It’s like I am looking into an empty soul.

His eyes are empty.

“Your Grace, it’s me… Sasha… Please…” I stuttered, tears filling my eyes. He closes the gap between us, and I step back.

 I will not die.

Not today.

I didn’t survive all these years to be killed by a man who just promised me freedom. I refuse it.

“You don’t want to hurt me. I know.” I whisper to him, my voice cracking when I say that. I don’t know where my courage came from.

He groans.

“Please…” I plead,

His claws dig into my wrist, and tears fall from my eyes.

I knew it. Nothing good ever comes from being called into offices. He grunts. Grabbing my sweater, then pulling me into him.

“Please,” my voice finally breaks, heart racing so fast. The room feels so cold, and my chest tightens. Closing my eyes, I let the tears roll down my cheeks.

At least I finally wore a pretty dress that complemented my eyes. I smile at myself at the ridiculous thought.

“Your blood…” he growls, eyes fixed on the crimson line across my wrist. He lifts my hand to his nose, inhaling sharply. A low, almost primal moan escapes his lips as his eyes darken with an intense, predatory hunger.

It sent a shiver down my spine, my heart racing as the room suddenly felt unbearably hot. The air thickens, and I struggle to breathe, every nerve on edge.

  • The Imperfect Luna   Epilogue - Our Choice

SashaTwo years later. “So?”“Cassian, it’s been less than ten seconds since I peed on this stick,” I snap, looking at the third pregnancy test. He has his arms around me, his eyes shut tight. He insists he doesn’t want to look at this but wants to hold me while I wait.I see the first line appear and follow as the specimen moves. My heart is beating just as fast as his heart. I swallow hard, holding on to his hand. He is so nervous.“So?” he asks me again, but my heart sinks when all I see is one line. I blink back my tears, sighing heavily.“Sasha...” He opens his eyes as I pick up the stick, lifting it to him. “Nothing.” He sighs, pulling me into him. “I’m so sorry, baby. I know…”“It’s fine,” I reply. He tries to comfort me every time that we’ll eventually get pregnant, but I’m scared about what Shaylen said a few weeks ago.“Let’s find a specialist. If you…”“I’m tired, Cassian,” I whisper to him, blinking back my tears. I have tried to get pregnant, but it seems it might be tr

  • The Imperfect Luna   A Love So Beautiful

SashaWhen I was four, I had a dream that one day I would find my mate, and he would love me more than anything. At ten, I gave up that dream because I found out I had no wolf. But when Cassian walked into my life that day, I knew that this man would be the reason my heart would break, but I chose to love him anyway.I chose to give my heart to him, and well, he broke it. Touche. But when he willingly walked into a pack full of people who wanted him dead to save me, I fell in love even more. It’s fucked up, I know, but this man did something that most people would never; he saw my imperfections, and he chose to love them.“Still ogling your hot fiancé?” Daniela drops into the chair beside me as I shrug. “Can’t resist a man with glasses,” I retort, and she chuckles, handing me a glass of juice. I take it without looking at her, my eyes still on my mate. He flips the pen so many times, his eyes on the paper that the Alpha form Westwood pack presented to him, a line forms on his forehead

  • The Imperfect Luna   Marry Me

CassianMy head is spinning, and everything seems to be whiter than white. Am I in heaven? Did I meet my maker? I ask myself, narrowing my eyes as I adjust to the light in the room.“Sasha? Sa—” I try to sit up when the doors swing open. “Fuck! You’re awake,” Darci growls, his eyes roaming all over my face, his eyes a glint of relief.“Sasha,” I choke out as Shaylen bursts into the room. “Cassian”“I want Sasha. Where is she?”“She’s coming. Let me call her.” Shaylen takes out her phone. Then he starts calling Sasha. I stare at Darci, who is checking my pulse and then my eyes.“You’re good,” he says with relief. “You scared the shit out of everyone,” he says, but I don’t respond. I feel so uneasy. Bjorn just wants to see Sasha; otherwise, he won’t stop stirring in the back of my mind. When the doors swing open again, Sasha bursts in with tears rolling down her cheeks.I try to get up to go to her, but she runs, slinging her arms around my neck. “Oh goddess. Oh, my goddess,” she cries

  • The Imperfect Luna   The Ones We Lost

Sasha“No!” The words leave my lips, and I see red. A sharp, piercing pain fills my chest as Cassian falls to his knees.I turned to Alaric, thrashing him. He tries to block my punches, but I’m faster. I kick him, and he goes stumbling back.“You killed him. You fucking killed him!” I growl. Throwing punches.“I will rip you apart, limb by limb,” I growl. Kicking him in his gut. He falls back on his tailbone. I pick up a blade from the ground, and I walk towards him. “You shouldn’t have killed him,” I say, tears falling down my cheeks. I took the knife and then stabbed his leg. . He cries, moving back as I take it out. Blood trickles down his face and leg as I pull it out.“Sasha, wait. We can…” He stutters, but I’m done listening to shit. I will kill everyone who took him away from me. After this. I’m going after the bastards who ran away.“I’m sorry, okay? I was…” When he is about to speak again, I get the knife and then stab it in his stomach. He falls back, gasping for air, his

  • The Imperfect Luna   Saved By the Enemy

CassianI have never seen her so broken. She looks at me like I can save her sister. I pulled out the arrow in my back, wincing before walking back to her.“Help me,” she chokes out, and I get on my knees next to Daniela. How the hell did she get here? We left her back at the castle.“Please. I can’t lose her,” she cries as I check Daniela’s wounds. ‘Darci!’ I link; I could feel him getting closer.‘Cassian? What’s wrong?’‘I need you here,’ I link, applying more pressure on the gunshot wounds. I look up at Sasha, and she is shaking. My hands feel warm and slippery.“Alpha!” Taylor shouts, coming into view. His eyes drop to the ground. He comes running towards us.“Ella?” He calls her, and I frown, looking at him. His eyes roam around her face. His eyes shimmer with tears as he pulls her into his arms.“I told you to fucking stay home,” he says, his voice cracking. Sasha looks around us, then lifts her eyes to me.“Where’s Ravenna?”“I…um…” I stuttered, but Darci showed up just in time
