Chapter 29: Denial

Evangeline Snow's P.O.V.

I stare at him my eyes going wide and my mind at loss for what I could say in that moment.

“I don’t want to marry you,”I say muttering out angrily.

His expression didn’t shift. “And marrying you wasn’t even on my agenda either.” he said with such calmness that it almost sounds like an insult.

“But here we are, about to become parents, Don’t you think we owe it to this baby to put aside our own selfish desires and act in his or her best interests?”He says with an innocent look on his face.

“Says the man who is 8 months late in being a father”I murmur trying my best not to strangle him. The fact that he sounds so reasonable shows just how manipulative he is. For our child’s best interest he says? Then hell, I would do almost anything because that's what an expectant mother would do!
